I am just super pessimistic about Trump doing anything "good." If he does something "good," I will give him credit, but my definition of good in this sense is not same as your average Trump supporter's definition. I feel like it's very difficult to do this in a way that can work, politically, for Republicans. They need a way to get credit for it so the new citizens don't become more votes for Democrats. Incidentally, there's nothing that stops states from granting the right to vote to noncitizens who live there. The plan would be much more generous than any existing single payer plan (everything besides maybe drugs iirc would be 100% free) and it would completely eliminate all other insurance besides like VA insurance. Because it's 100% free you obviously increase the total demand for healthcare, but meanwhile you'll likely be paying doctors less (like Medicare does) unless you want the cost to be even more insane, which means you're going to end up decreasing the supply of doctors/hospitals.
