which means uncompressed we're probably not fitting every SNES game on here

but compressed I've read it might be doable

I doubt a lot of us here need every SNES game on there.

That's what I am wanting. The way it was hacked into the nes classic. With native emulation. It was an amazing emulator that output very well on hdmi.

I want the rims to play natively hopefully

here's ClusterM's post-stream post translated from russian

On the stream it was simply impossible to concentrate, but still there is progress. And it's great that people told me there was group thinking. ROM format seems to have a lot in common with ROMs in the Wii Virtual Console, which seem to have been studied well. It is necessary to look. clovershell has worked without changes, so that SNES Mini already has FTP and Telnet access via USB, which simplifies learning.: smile: smile

RetroArch works, saving it works, but so far only through the Home button. There are problems with tracking the Reset. It seems that for some reason the trap does not work. Does the shell now send another signal? Or somehow stop the game? I think we'll figure it out. But RetroArch does not work rewind, retro filter and frames do not work. So it's better to understand how to make third-party Roma friends with your own emulator. The emulator, by the way, is called "canoe".

Emulator kachikachi from NES Mini just did not work. Apparently, he needs some additional files.

My patched controller driver clovercon has worked with minimal changes - it was necessary to change the paths and change the version of the kernel in the medzhick. SNES Mini has a slightly newer Linux kernel.

In general, you need to take into account a bunch of very small changes in comparison with the NES Mini. Nothing complicated, but a lot of little things.

What else should I do first?

Understand the structure of ROMs, which is used by the built-in emulator.
Finalize the scripts run RetroArch, it remains only to make an exit to the menu via reset and slightly improve the path.
Adapt mod for fonts, too, probably just the way to fix it. The font format is clearly the same.
Of course, to refine hakchi2 for all this. It is necessary to somehow cram into one program work with NES Mini and with SNES Mini. And there are a lot of nuances.

Scalping tickets is illegal, so why isn't scalping period?

this isn't scalping, though.

Definition of scalping: Attempt to take maximum financial benefit of the scarcity of an item (such as tickets to a sellout show) by hoarding it.

so does this mean they are trying to install a new emulator in the SNES mini instead of using the native emulator like the NES mini. that's disappointing

I guess I've thought of the term "scalping" to indicate the prohibited or unlawful types of resale. Ticket resale isn't illegal across the country, but some states don't allow it. unfortunately I'd say the trend seems to be that scalping laws are more and more relaxed.

Dang... turns out I have to buy a hi-def TV. There seems to be no easy way to plug an HDMI cable into my old CRT and have it actually work. >_>

3.39% of GameFAQs poll voters had an NES Classic the day it was released.

13.49% of voters had an SNES Classic the day it was released.

That's a 300% improvement. I expected numbers to be higher, but not THAT much higher....

Oh, yeah, and 5.9% of those who had an SNES Classic planned to scalp it, as opposed to 14.5% of NES Classic owners. Looks like the purchasing limits caused scalping numbers to drop far more than any factor causing scalping numbers to rise....

Just checked ebay and they seem to be going for $140-150 before shipping. It's a big markup but nowhere near the $200+ some people were expecting. If Nintendo manages a couple more good shipments, supply might actually creep toward demand.

Just got the SNES Classic "Playing with Super Power" hardcover book in the mail through Amazon. At 319 pages, this book is loaded with information. The downside is that they only talk about the games published by Nintendo. I was really hoping too see a big section for Final Fantasy VI and all the other games, but alas....

it's not the official release yet so it doesn't have all the features that it did on NES I don't know if it lets you compress files yet or search for box arts. Shouldn't be too long though until the full thing is out.
