Falchion lost a lot of its oomph ever since skill inheritance came out. You don't need specialized ways to gain an edge on dragons, and a lot of blue ones either run triangle adept or swordbreaker so your 'effective against' thing ends up worthless.

idk, the guy said half of them were swords and mentioned two specifically. i definitely think Seliph, Alfonse and Roy need a buff before the Falchion users unless maybe we're talking about Chrom or Alm specifically. and Lloyd is probably even less-used though his weapon is already good so idk how that is taken into account.

If the leak is true the 'awaken weapons' thing is kind of disappointing. It seems like it'll only affect a small number of characters. Not sure why you can't just upgrade every character who didn't win the unique weapon lottery.

idk, maybe they'll eventually put in some inhertible legendaries. though a lot of the weapons you could normally give to whoever are already stuck on a particular character. and poor rexcalibur didn't even get legendary status.

Just beat Infernal Ninian + Hawkeye with Matthew Serra Cherche and Adult Tiki

Tiki baits out green mage, kills him on the counter attack, then Cherche flies up and kills the Lancer they send over there. Matthew stall tanks everyone else and slowly whittles them down with Ignis charged daggers, which came up really often cause of Close Counter.

Feels good man. Don't think I could've done that easy with any other configuration of my units really.
Matthew's tank cred was definitely put to the test there. He was pretty much unkillable with all his debuffs + Spur Def 3 on Serra + S Rank Serra support though. Was surviving like 4 attacks per round, then getting healed to full with reconcile.

I was depressed that my stupidly costly Matthew build was not going to be useful for Infernal content ever. Like the first Infernal I played against after building him was Infernal Valter which you couldn't really bring a tank whatsoever to that one. Then against Ephraim/Eirika Hector was just better at that job.

But hey, at least in theory it can work if I can trim the mages down a bit. That's all I ask!

Basically idea is he facetanks everyone and then lowers ALL THE STATS by a billion, and either the rest of the team kills everything he's crippled, or he duels since he can do that when his opponent's stats have all dropped by 5-7 after the first round. Plus he can chunk dudes whenever Ignis is up despite having like no attack normally cause his Defense is really high (base is 30, goes up to 35 with Rogue Dagger+ up). He's actually really tanky vs non mage units. Pretty respectable HP and Def, never gets doubled. RES is a problem but yeah luring mages away is usually viable and he's not getting doubled vs them so he can take one. On the plus side he can actually usually hurt mages pretty well since they usually have low Def so his terrible attack matters less against them.

I haven't actually given him Attack Smoke 3 yet, but I do have an extra Lyn to give it to him. I think that'll help him a lot. Threaten Speed 3 hasn't been necessary most of the time, though it is kinda cool to let allies double more often-- Matthew's usually doubling without it since his base speed is 37 (mine is 38 cause he's +1). Part of me is kinda keeping my ear to the ground till I really need it cause I feel like Attack Smoke 3 will be something that might be attainable easier in the not too distant future.

Unfortunately I kinda think Close Counter is a must for the build to be more than a niche thing (since Rogue Dagger and I think Attack Smoke don't function if you don't attack) and I doubt most people have an extra Takumi laying around, but it works pretty well!

What have you guys found to be the best items for AA? Panic Charm is a must for everyone, and Pressure Charm is pretty damn important, especially if you're facing HE on one of those cancerous tiny-ass maps. My third has been Fear Charm for a while, but I haven't really used it. I'm thinking of swapping it with Dancer's Veil since you can sometimes cheese the system and use it after just moving the one unit that you want to use it on. Lightning Charm and Elixir sound great on paper, but given the limited amount of space, they're not top priority for when you're in a pinch.

Cleared Clarissa Infernal using Donnel/Elincia/Ike/Olivia. Ike beats the Green Mage and kills him turn one. Elincia's main purpose was to draw Clarissa over to the right and waste her time. Ike moves over to the right. Elincia engages Clarissa, pulls her back with Drag Back, Ike finishes her off. Meanwhile Donnel + Brave Lance + Dance tore through the remaining 4 enemies in the middle. Only real tricky part was Donnel's positioning - had to make sure he didn't get hit with Panic Ploy and there's not a lot of room to maneuver.

So um....it's not a Halloween banner guys.

It's Dancer Emblem.

The two teased units were as expected. Though Azura is an axe unit(And annoying, there's two greens on this banner).

The other two units are Olivia in a black dress(Colorless though so good luck with that)

And the other unit is her boy Inigo.

So we now have two green dancers(Nils when IS?), we have a colorless one. And THREE danged dancers.

Additionally, all of these units give stats when dancing.

I'm not sure how to feel about this banner. I don't need a dancer in particular.

But Azura in her Nohrian outfit is something I need in my life.

I wouldn't even mind Inigo blocking me unlike a certain brother of Elise.... but uggh, pulling green on a seasonal banner so soon.

Although I will say that at least the other buffs use the B slot, which is a price to give up, so they might actually be fine.

Azura's axe is just shameless power creep that the game shouldn't have in it. That axe could literally have 0 might and people would use it.

That axe is dumb, but I have a feeling it won't be game breaking in practice. I use dancers more commonly to reposition my team than to secure an extra kill, and units are likely to be honed/fortified for the first combat in any case.

A green mage dancer has a lot of potential I think. Depending on the stat spread, a dancer can counter Reinhardt and/or Lyn

Every single dancer in Arena slaps Wings of Mercy on their B slot. I'd much rather deal with 'unit with stat buffs' than 'dancer out of nowhere from across the map', so their special abilities aren't anything special as far as I can tell.

Azura's weapon has 3 Level 2 skills which is similar to the weapons that the Brave units had with their 2 Level 3 skills. I really don't get why they made her weapon so overpowered.

My problem with Azura's weapon is less that the inate skill on it is so great and more that a dancer class unit is getting a 16 might exclusive weapon with a good skill on it. Dancers should've been stuck with generic tier weapons (like the other ones on the banner got) for a balancing measure imo.

(and don't get me wrong, it is great-- even if some of those will be redundant with hones you still get a lot of value there)

Shigure's B skill is probably the best one with a bladetome. normally all you're getting is 3 atk/4 spd/2 def or res from Eirika or Ephraim, so that'll still make your second attack hit 6 harder. or maybe 4/4/2/2 if using two characters to buff and no twin, but that'd still be +4, or +6 or 8 while allowing you to use other seals.

I was always wondering if and when we would get a green dancer, and I certainly wouldn't expect it to be Azura. Of course they would double her up on the banner. I always thought it would be so cool if she could use water magic since water is her entire theme.

Have around 90 orbs right now. Not sure if I wanna keep accumulating or put a few draws into this dancer banner. I do like the costume for Azura over her normal one and my Azura has a bad -SPD nature. And of course being OP doesn't hurt. Olivia looks better too though I'm not sold on that dagger being particularly good for her-- feel like the dagger would be better on a non-dancer. I think a Felicia with that + Breath of Life 3 + Breath of Life 1 seal would be pretty cool-- could actually let her be a passable healer like she's supposed to be able to.

Guess I'll wait for the stat spreads.

They are still trying to make summoning colorless more attractive, but i really think they should decrease the chance of getting a healer on a non-healer banner. At least with daggers, you could get Kagero. We only need so many healers before it becomes aggravating.

They are throwing so many "must-pull" banners at us these days that it really feels like they want money more than ever. I was once able to save up ~200 orbs because the banners coming out at the time weren't impressive, but that's not going to happen anymore. Most i'll rack up these days is the 100-range.

I actually managed to break 200 orbs for this banner. It helped that I got Elincia right away and passed on Nephenee. I'll certainly be tempted to spend them all.

Do you guys suppose we will still get a Halloween banner or this has taken its place?

I feel like wasting ability slots on Breath of Life is kind of...pointless. Even if you stack them, the healing is fairly minimal. If you want healing then just bring in a healer - they're pretty underrated and I would heavily consider taking them into Arena if their stat totals wouldn't hurt my score.

I'm not going to be rolling on the next few banners, probably. I don't use dancers much and I don't really care about Halloween reskins for existing characters.

I used to bring Tharja with BoL 3 and the seal into chain challenges and tempest trials and it's great. You don't have to handicap yourself with a healer. Just let your nuke do it's thing and heal up your melee units though careful positioning. I don't have to unequip fury on my brawlers

I do use healers plenty and think they're underrated when set up right

17 hp heal is nothing to turn your nose up at though. There are a lot of situations where that's plenty. I'd say most, really. Reconcile is nice but often excessive (or not enough if above 50%)

I use a healer in Tempest Trials and I never feel handicapped. It lets me put my units straight into enemy fire and heal them after they clean up. Usually clear maps in 2-3 turns.

Isn't Breath of Life 3 plus Breath of Life Seal equal to 7+3?

Yeah I don't know about just seal + b slot as super useful

With a weapon that also has breath of life 3 on it like Olivia's fan though seems pretty sweet. 10 is too slow to heal real damage. 17 is generally fine though speaking as someone who rarely runs recover instead of reconcile

Yeah, it's just 10. It's good enough for me when I'm running a couple desperation blade mages in any case because I treat the other two slots as support roles that rarely see combat. Sometimes I need someone to take a hit for them and it allows me to do it multiple times if necessary.

I'd only advocate using it on a ranged nuker for CC and TT. The healing really does add up when you consider how much they will be in battle anyway.

with Oscar as my bonus unit this time, i switched things up for TT starting yesterday. i'm using him, Titania, Xander and Elise for my two lunatic 7 runs. it works pretty well and it's a lot less stressful with a healer. too bad Oscar is -spd, it stops him from being able to double BK even with the TT bonus stats and hone cav.

i actually started with them auto-battling hard (but with Ninian instead of Xander). i gave Oscar and Titania silver weapons from 3*s to work better in auto-battle. then i realized i could probably do my 2 lunatic runs per day with them to keep my A rank survival.

i do think we're going to get a Halloween banner. the two summer banners overlapped by a few days, so if that happened again we'd get Genealogy in 2 weeks and a Halloween banner around 4 days before Halloween.
