I didn't feel like making it this year.

It was an unfunny joke to begin with.

It was unfunny even before all those people got upset at the joke because the song was about the singer's dad dying or something. Then people started spamming it more because "lol SJWs are being triggered"

From context I think I got the meaning of the song. But it's not like everybody or even most people know that, and the title itself is a magnet for jokes so you can't blame them.
