I wouldn't even say they necessarily overcharge for the quality of food, just for what people expect to pay for fast food. People buy fast food expecting something quick, cheap, and mediocre. Quiznos offers something reasonably quick, mid-tier pricing, and pretty decent, which means it falls flat on the two main reasons people go for fast food, and exceeds expectations in the category most don't care that much about. If doesn't manage to be good enough to be on the same level as proper restaurants, though, so it gets stuck being treated like fast food that does a poor job of being fast food. It's a shame, really. I had it once when I was living in Syracuse, but that was like 12 years ago and I can't remember what it actually tasted like. I do think I liked it though.
