Oh my goodness, the FOV is set to 55 by default and the slider is greyed out. Who thought that was a good idea? Thank god you can edit it in the configs.

I just don't know if I'll play this that consistently to justify buying it on release, but at least there's a proper campaign this time around.

It is really quirky in my opinion from a menu design perspective and some of the aesthetics are weird, but otherwise the game feels really solid. I like all three multiplayer modes they included in the beta, the campaign's story is a really great premise (I hated TFA just because there's no background information whatsoever on how the First Order came to be, so I am hoping this fills in the gaps a little bit).

I had a really hard time flying. but otherwise naboo was fun.

Make sure to turn roll on (and/or advanced flight mode). Also if you're playing on PC but have a controller... use the controller.

I really like the beginning of matches when the teams are just taking long range potshots at each other.

Anyone else feel like the damage indication is really underwhelming? There are so many times I feel like I just got chunked in a single hit because I didn't even notice that I was taking damage before I was killed.

Hmm. May have to check that out. Just got a new PC and the beta is fantastic on it so far. Loving the Starfighter mode. Was on the fence about getting this, now I'm definitely getting it.

In fact, Battlefront (2015) felt even less like a Battlefield/Battlefront game because the devs heard the complaint from people saying they didn't want it to be Star Wars: Battlefield, not realizing that's actually what they do want because Battlefront has always been Star Wars: Battlefield. Hence why the last game had all that stupid shit at an attempt to differentiate it from Battlefield-esque games (Like Battlefront...).

I disagree in that the differences between the two gameplay wise are very minor overall. Sure Battlefront might have stuff like hero characters and they can make interesting weapons/items using the Star Wars mythos but at the very core of it all, Battlefront is pretty much a Battlefield game with a Star Wars skin (and there's nothing wrong with that). Pandemic, the studio behind the original Battlefront games, has even admitted that Battlefront is their version of Battlefield but with Star Wars.

Im drinkin so incredibly sorry if this dont make sense, but like, if Im not mistaken, the point of swbf is to be a normal soldier in a sw fight. playing as a hero takes away from that. this isnt as big of a problem to me now as it was back in the day, but like, when folks were tryna make me play all heroes on tatooine,,, smh that shit sucked. Ill play literally any other Star Wars game if I want to be an important character in the universe
