for some reason this weekend I booted up FF15 in an attempt to get the platinum. I walk away two trophies short, a firmer belief that this game is bad at nearly everything it sets out to do, and an even deeper hatred for Dave, possibly the worst character in Final Fantasy history.

One of the few not terrible performances on Gabranth's tenure.

Actually, looking at it, Gabranth has finished third from last, second from last, and last place.

Pretty sure no one else can lay claim to that "achievement."

Actually, since GMUN mentioned it, I decided to look up how many newcomers made the top ten in a given contest after CI.

CVIII - 1 (Balthier)
CIX - 1 (Palom)

So we've only had one contest with more than one newcomer in the top ten. It's actually extremely rare for a character to make a top ten who wasn't in the previous contest, whether it's their first contest or not. Marche/Lightning is the only final we've had between two characters who weren't in the previous contest.
