Oh tiers. I like tiers. But I'll wait for the end of the year before I do tiers.

I agree, Breath of the Wild and Persona 5 are both two of my favorite games of all time now if we do like a top 25 or something (not sure exactly where they would place though).

Divinity: Original Sin II definitely comes the closest to them thus far. Though not quite a favorite for me. But it's really excellent and absolutely deserves to be played before years end if your PC can handle it.

I actually fully expect Super Mario Odyssey to be able to compete with both Breath of the Wild and Persona 5 for me. Super Mario World and both Galaxy games are in my own favorites list already so if Odyssey can manage to reach Galaxy level quality at the very least, then it's an easy addition to my personal favorites list.

Yes Kiwami came out after but whatever

It's a weird situation with that game. Obviously it's the start of the series, but the remake came out after 0 and Sega added more sidestories in Kiwami that follow-up on plotlines from 0. So it's both the first game in the series and a sequel to the prequel.

I'd say NieR: Automata. I figured it would be Persona 5, which was still great, but NieR really stuck with me.

I've started Horizon Zero Dawn but it failed to keep me engaged, sadly. I've started Pyre and enjoy it but haven't really had the desire to keep at it.

Games like Night in the Woods and Divinity Original Sin 2 are on my radar but I probably won't get to them before the year ends.

i've played plenty. am playing one right now! it's probably the most surprised i've been by a triple a game. the story is so perfectly told. i didn't expect to care about it at all. but the delivery is so perfect and it's so well-told i loved every second of it. plus the gameplay is great and i had a blast with the sidequests.

Tried playing Horizon and couldn't get super into it but I'll be willing to give it another go.
