Do you ever?

Actual tears? And for this topic i am mainly concerned with when terrible shit happens to you not when playing a video game or watching a sad movie etc.

Sometimes, it's pretty rare nowadays though, what with me being dead inside and all.

Man I cried at least 4 times this week just due to my own thoughts

I guess things that would count as "terrible" don't happen to me often, but damn skippy I'll cry for them

I have been in a 4 part wave of screaming at the top of my lungs, crying so hard I cannot breathe, crying weakly defeated, and being silent and staring past the world with what friends describe as a "truly haunted" face. Pretty much everyday for the last few weeks. In the beginning I was just crying nonstop. Now, I can only cry alone or in front of family or friends that I trust dearly.

Finding out about mom's DNR, losing her a couple days later and her funeral got me.... but generally speaking, no.

Most any problem in life that could be handled with crying can usually be handled better without it.

Yeah, when my grandmother died, and when my parents split. And there are several other times where I got misty-eyed. I'm assuming those who voted "no" haven't had any "terrible s***" happen to them, are too macho to admit it, or have no emotions.

Depends, there are certain things that really get me going and others that are terrible but don't make me cry.

Thinking about how my cat died last year always gets me crying for instance.

Yeah I only cry for fictional stories. They're just better-written than real life.
Haven't cried about something that's happened to me in at least 6 years.

Very rare but sometimes yes. Normally when alcohol is involved. It's a strange one as, for example when my sister died of cancer I didn't cry even though I was close with her. However after several drinks I got mad at trivial shit and that's when the flood gates opened. I was on my own at that time so that was fortunate. Alcohol really does make my cold, black heart feel shit which is ironic as I like to drink to forget my problems.

yeah I have a hard time crying over the death of loved ones too oddly (unless its a pet, then its a different story) but I attribute that to i've easily been to 4 times the amount of funerals as I have weddings. so people dying is just completely natural to me.

I've only been to two. Neither bothered me as much as they should have or at least not consciously.

I experienced my first death in the family (old enough to remember that is, one came before that) when I was around 5, and it was my favorite uncle, he was a constant part of my life up until then. and it came out of no where too. he was fine one day, found dead in his bed the next.

Sounds rough man. Still I think my 'problem' is I like to try and understand things before I react to them. Meaning I understand why funerals are a thing and choose to think of them as a way to say goodbye rather than get upset over something that is inevitable. That might not make much sense but it's the only explanation I've got.

funerals are weird in my family. its pretty much the closest thing we get to a family reunion. so its a mixture of sadness and people catching up on old times

Eh...Voted yes because i do think so but unless losing pets is significant enough for you to consider it terrible then no.

I cry over stuff im sure most people would find pathetic but stuff like relatives dying or nearly dying myself never even brought me close.
