I don't wish a loss of team on any of you but I think it gives you a weird perspective on sports.

Obviously not the same situation because they didn't move, but the Sacramento Kings taking a couple of years to find a new city really drained me and detached me a lot from caring about the league and team since I was so prepared to lose them. Plus they suck and other teams are set up for years of dominance so it makes it easy to not care.

I'm pretty much done with the NFL for now for several reasons, but I could potentially come back in the future. I have no issues with baseball but at the same time I might just be burned out a little bit even though I only watched less than 10 games this season. I do have an interest in hockey and I always say I need to watch more outside of the playoffs, so maybe I'll try to do that so I can at least maintain some semblance of a sports fan.

I've been passively watching the Broncos this year. I've only seen like three games in full, and I'm not sure if that number is going to increase. Not only do they suck, but they aren't fun to watch in any way. It's like having a Kyle Orton offense again. I think my days of watching other games (besides turning them on for five minutes) are over as well.

That and it's also clear that the owners are never going to give a shit about CTE and civil rights unless it starts impacting their bottom line, which it probably won't, because the NFL is full of neanderthal fans. Maybe there's still hope the players can do something, like winning a devastatingly huge lawsuit or refusing to play if they continue to have their message silence/diluted.

Yes I was at the game. Made me nervous for a while. The browns have a dog mascot and they bring him out on the field every game apparently. I got to pet him - they took him out the regular exit by our concourse.



It's apparently the UK Conner counterpart dog because it wouldn't make sense to fly a dog overseas for a football game

Tom Verducci wrote a SI article today that basically said players from both teams feel like the balls are altered even further during the World Series to make the baseballs slicker and harder to get good movement on offspeed pitches. Maybe that has something to do with it.

The Dodgers definitely aren't done scoring but neither are the Astros. I wouldn't trust a 5 run lead in this game.

I was just perusing Dan Haren's twitter because he gets into arguments with people all the time. Seems like his main target these days is Scott van Slyke because Scott posts about Jesus every day and how if you're still alive he's helping you and with all the people losing their homes and power and water that makes Dan pretty mad. The moral of this story is that Justin Ruggiano came to Scott's aid and linked Dan to a Facebook group for "flat earth geocentrism"

In basketball news, the Spurs, Warriors and Cavs all lost today. The Warriors are only 4-3! It's not cause for alarm but the past two years I think it was like December or January when they got their third loss
