Well, I beat Super Mario Odyssey tonight, though I'm far from finished with it. This game is too much fun.

Skyrim and Doom are also coming out this month, WHAT? Well, I knew about Skyrim, but for some reason I thought Doom was going to be early 2018. Too many games! I should probably stop dropping money on full-priced games until I get a job. And yeah I know they aren't really new games, but they're exciting to me

Yeah I'm going broke from all these Switch games. I've never once played Skyrim or L.A. Noire but now feels like a good time to get for the only system I seem to play anymore. I'm also interested in DOOM and Wolfenstein 2. All come out before the end of the year. I already have Oddesey, BoW, Mario v Rabbits, Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, Binding of Isaac, Steam World Dig, Golf Story, Jackbox Party, and Stardew Valley. Probably the biggest library I've had for a home system since my GameCube tbh. I haven't really played games like this since high school.

It's just so addicting to get games on Switch for whatever reason. I have a ton too. It's great to see all the third party support but I've already played Skyrim and Doom so I'll at least pass on those. But both are very good. Skyrim is the obvious best investment because people can put hundreds of hours into it. I've probably gotten somewhere between like 80 and 100 hours out of it across two platforms, so I don't need a third.

I went back to New Donk City and got 151 jump roping on my first try. It's funny to me that you guys seem to have had a hard time with it, but the volleyball game you were able to beat rather easily is difficult for me. I can't even get to 50 consistently in volleyball

I did volleyball today and got to like 120 after five tries in a row where I only got as high as 62

I hate the jump rope too much and can't make myself try again

You should. I was gonna hold off on it but impulse bought it and haven't regretted it.

It was pretty fun to be able to play BotW and Odyssey day one and feel like I'm experiencing the excitement of discovery with everyone else. I usually wait a long time to buy consoles, and buy most games on sale or after a price drop, so I figured with the Switch I'd treat myself for once. It's not like Nintendo stuff drops in price very often anyway, so there's not much point in waiting. I feel like I shouldn't rush into Doom and Skyrim though since they'll be $40 early next year

Today at Walmart I saw six SNES Classics on the shelves. I don't know if they just stocked them or what, but that's neat. Anyways, if any of you missed out on it before, you might still have a chance at getting one

I played through ALttP on there. Gotta say, it's a good game but I'm not altering my stance on 3D Zelda being universally superior to 2D.

Saints 6th win in a row. Even though four of them have come against shitty beat up offenses I'm still loving this.

I hope it means that the NES Classic will be relatively easy to get next summer. I'm sure I've said it before, but I'm not gonna wait in line for one, but I'll pick one up if I happen to see it in stores.

I agree. I do think ALttP is the best 2D Zelda though.

There were too many segments where it limits your visibility and you need to light torches or just deal with it, and there were parts where you have to fight or avoid so many enemies at once that it was just irritating. Obviously I was able to beat it but still.

Why did the Avalanche just trade Duchene?..

The worst part by far IMO is that dungeon where you have to create blocks and then ride them along tracks. There's also stuff like the Ice Rod which I think you find in a random cave and need it to beat the game. The cave is pretty easy to find anyway but I don't really get why some people praise the game for having a required item outside of a dungeon

I think it's his contract year or something and they know he isn't staying. I don't know that much, but I seem to remember they kept failing on an extension this offseason
