The Thing!

The Thing from The Thing beat Darth Vader from star wars by a vote of 14 to 11!! What an underdog finish, if you ask me!

What did you guys think? How did your favorites do?

There were a lot of unexpected early eliminations, like Scar, Judge Doom, Hans Landa, Jack Torrance, and Doctor Octopus, who can't seem to catch a break, because I remember him doing poorly in the Marvel save that as well.

Some others made it farther than I though they would, like Aaron Stampler, and to be honest, The Thing.

Thank you all for participating, and I while I do have several topics for save that's in mind, I haven't decided what order I want to do them in. I am leaning toward Movie Heroes or Cartoon Characters next.

I'm surprised The Thing made it as far as it did. The Thing is one of my favorite movies of all time, but The Thing itself wasn't as big a villain as these other choices.

Personally, I was all in on Slashers. Ideally, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and Jason Voorhees as top three. It wasn't to be though.

Lost my 2 favorites (Frollo and Goeth) back to back, so that sucks, but at least they both made top 25.

The Thing is one of my favorite horror movies. Very surprised it beat Vader though.

This is the second Save That Vader has been the runner-up in too, he got to the final in the Star Wars Save That and choked there too.

I love The Thing but was most pleased & surprised that The Tall Man got to #4. Phantasm is by far my favorite horror franchise. I'm so glad the 5th movie finally came out last year.

Not much of a horror fan, but I'd take The Thing as the champ over some of the characters that made it into the Top 20, so this is fine in my book.

Still though, why did Vader choke all of sudden?

I was really hoping for a Pinhead vs. The Tall Man final when we got to the top five, but still very happy The Thing won.

Darth was one of my favorite villains as a kid, but heavily overrated IMO.

I remember, so I was kind of hoping he wouldn't make it to the F2 because of that. Of the Top 10, I was hoping for a Michael Myers/Hans Gruber F2.
