FINALLY, Klefa was defeated. I've got to admit that while watching UI Goku just dodging for a while, the fight after the second half of the episode was intense. The fight finale was fucking epic!

based off of Kefla, fusion doesn't eliminate people so if they all went into creating a Namekian God it should be legal. it's easily the best way to 1) save Universe 6 without wishing on the dragon balls, and 2) create a new super fighter that should be on par with the saiyans.

at a technical level, Gohan should also be closer to Ultra Instinct than pretty much everyone else in Universe 7. control, not power is the focus, so Mystic should be the preemptive version of this. but i doubt they'll actually make him relevant in this arc again.

Father Son, KK20 vs Frieza and KK4 vs Vegeta probably top 3. But this was so cool it might be #4.

I dunno what those attacks are called, but that girl has some seriously cool looking ones. I thought they were more impressive than the Kamehameha. I can't even say I spoiled myself because the mobile DBZ game already revealed these characters. Makes me pretty hype to check out Super even though the English is pretty behind this point. I gotta get around to starting it one of these days once I also watch the 2 "new" movies (I'm aware Super covers them, but always hear BoG and RoF are better in movie form due to higher budget). Just so many shows to watch and games to play there's not enough time in the world to do it all

I actually only watch the dub, but I can't help but check out specific fights like this. The dub just finished the first tournament and it was really cool. Hit quickly became a favorite of mine.

Kefla is the coolest god damn motherfucker in existence holy shit Jiren just has nothing on that final attack. A potara-fused LSSJ is just master-class raw power excitement just omg end me now. EASILY best ep in Super and in the top episodes of the franchise.

though damn I too was like "omg is she gonna LSSJ3 holy god damn shit" but in the back of my mind I was thinking "but I didn't see that attack that was in last week's preview which was still short hair so I don't think it's happening"

They aren't a Master Race.... that's the fucking point.... they actually as a whole suck, but they (as a race) have the tools and potential that someday someone can break the limits and become a Legend, and through that pull others with potential around him up.

Jiren was just incredibly powerful from the outset.

That's NOT what Mary Sue means. Mary Sue is having no flaws (and those you do have being made cute or positive somehow) and getting random no sense making power ups or such. That is the 2 worthless bitches. Jiren doesn't randomly power up out of nowhere.

I'd argue Goku's only flaw is being naive and it almost never results in bad things for him. Not in any that actually change him as a character really since he still seems like he would forgive anybody for destroying an entire race if they faked an apology >_>

I really don't have a problem with people calling (especially Toei) Goku a Mary Sue. I personally disagree, but he definitely has enough aspects of it that it is a fair thing to paint him as.

To a mini-arc of random goo that just gets to take Vegeta's full SSB strength

Then to Goku Black who went from a SSJ3-level scrub who was too much for F.Trunks in the future, who suddenly becomes more powerful than SSB-Goku which was explained as "because he fought Goku".... leading into Future Trunks randomly developing a power from being SSJ2 to suddenly being greater than everyone else at that moment and then finishing off the potara fusion of Black Goku + Zamus

And now we have Goku almost immediately mastering this technique that even gods have difficulty doing in just a handful of minutes

Speaking of, Super Saiyan God came completely out the fuck of nowhere since suddenly if 5 saiyans hold hands around 1 they become unimaginably more powerful than anything we had seen in Z. That's how Super *started*.

The U6 Saiyans are only bad because of the awful decision to make it so none of them had ever heard of a Super Saiyan before the U6/U7 tournament for the purpose of one scene at the time.

My main issue would be that the U6 people go from not even knowing Super Saiyans are a thing not long before, to Caulifla not even knowing SSJ3 exists in this very arc, to them suddenly going BEYOND Potara to be on par with Goku's best.

If hit's ability to improve is good enough for you, LSSJ is good enough. Vados stated numerous times that the form has an immense well of strength that Kale still hasn't been able to reach the full power of (since she doesn't have much experience), and the Potara combination allowed for Cauli's actual fighting experience to make use of Kale's well of power.

Kefla actually uses some resemblance of logic, more than any other dumb power boosts the show has been completely loaded with.

Something kinda interesting from the manga:

When Toppo tells Jiren about the upcoming Tournament of Power, he initially refuses to enter by saying it's his duty to protect the peace of Universe 11. But he wont destroy other universes to save his own. If Universe 11 loses the tournament, thats just their own fate.

God of Destruction, Belmod arrives and tells Jiren he can fulfill his wish once he wins the Tournament of Power after granting Super Dragon Balls as the prize. Thats the only reason Jiren finally agrees to go, but on the one condition.

If any troubles occur in Universe 11, I will immediately return.

hell, if we're talking random powerups, Gohan somehow went from meh SSJ to Buu-levels to SSB Goku after training with Piccolo for a day, a guy who probably isn't even at the level of Goku's SSJ2.

and there's still a chance he gets a random powerup. quickest possibility i can think of is something that's going to hurt Gohan, Piccolo gets in the way, dies, and in the process the other person gets DQ'd. Gohan taps into his inner rage-boost and gets something that brings him above the SSB levels, though maybe not on Instinct.

I'd like to see Gohan power up in a way that doesn't involve Piccolo dying again. Speaking of Piccolo I want to see him get super strong too. I mean he was literally the strongest character in the series at one point in the Cell Saga and then in Buu he didn't do anything :(
