Why the hell does this stuff have more saturated fat than an entire cow? I thought vegans were trying to avoid heart attacks.

If its vegan then it's not ice cream. It's just a trick to lure in outsiders to their cult. Same thing they do with vegan hamburgers or vegan hotdogs.

Vegan salads are pretty nice.

I mean, it tastes exactly like ice cream. It's convinced me that once theres a market for it, there could be acceptable vegan substitutes for anything. It still has more saturated fat than my regular ice cream.

That's just propaganda.

Look into Halo ice cream. It's like 80 calories per carton. It's amazing. Ice cream isn't supposed to be good for you. Like any other sweet treat that comes from a cow or a non animal source, it's going to be bad for your health. Being vegan isn't just about health benefits. Shit post more though.

I've been meaning to try Halo, def gonna do that next time. I don't expect ice cream to be healthy, but I expected vegan ice cream to not be entirely saturated fat. Like 90% of the vegan nutritional argument is that sat fat is bad. Of course there's animal rights too, that goes without saying - I'm talking nutrition.

It kinda has to, to be "cream" and not slush. The only real alternative is to mix vodka in it, which isn't market-viable for several reasons.

What about with almond milk, soy, or something? Froyo has really low sat fat for what it is and it's kinda creamy.

Nah dude, coconut oil is full of fat. It's a healthier alternative to butter, but it's still an alternative to butter. You can't just consume massive amounts of it.
