paper mario ttyd because i doubt theres any real glitches to exploit + I am very good at it so I could quickly beat all boss fights even while skipping every enemy I can

When the game first came out I was kind of into the speedrunning for a while and I think I had the #15 spot on the leaderboards for about a month. It's probably changed drastically since then, but with a full year of prep I could probably figure it out.

I'd like to do Link To The Past Randomizer, a romhack where every chest and boss drop is put into a big pool and then randomized. The hack is really well done to prevent softlocking

mainly because it hasn't been ran yet but i'm sure they'll run that and mario galaxy in the winter.

Super Metroid, since I already know that game fairly well, including most of the speedrunning tricks. Some I'm not skilful enough to pull off reliably, but I can do the main ones well enough to get an OK time I think.
