I dont read that Naruto crap But someone pointed me towards Enigma of (Whatever Its Called) Fault by the same guy and my love of horror/lovecrafty fuckery got me interested. My only complaint so far is that it does use an awful lot of horror logic (protagonist still having doubts about a spiral curse despite five chapters of irrefutably terrible spiral things happening, no one just LEAVING, continuing to cremate, doctors leaving scissors in hospital rooms with people prone to self-harm, etc). Sushis dad was actively talking to the mom and dispensing information she otherwise wouldnt have known, and their souls (?) were screaming and feeling physical pain in the kiln back in Firing Effect. The Jack in the Box kid and the snails, conversely, seemed to not retain any personality or semblance of themselves. Interesting that it still is tracing back to that pond; definitely significant. 2nd volume was probably more consistently good than the 1st, but its starting to feel serialized.
