Our cells and organs are adapted to the one earth gravity we have known our whole lives and a prolonged exposure to 2x alone would wreck our capillaries and neurons long before our hearts gave out. I also loved the idea of training in a gravity chamber to make my bones and muscles more dense but the reality is that increased gravity would kill us very quickly. Look up what happens to fighter pilots when they accelerate quickly and experience 3+ Gs and you'll see that stupid reality once again gets in the in the way of some of our most beautiful dreams.
