Pre-show: Tenryu d. J. Rich (55)

Albano hypes Sika some more as being worthy of an NWA Title shot. Ventura and Muraco come out to squabble with him and each other, but Sika has a match to prove himself. (74) Sika puts away Butch Reed fairly convincingly. (53) Vivian Vachon is here! She's happy to be competing tomorrow night in the tournament. Just...everybody needs to watch out for her niece, Luna, too. On cue, Luna Vachon shows up and jumps Vivian! The two of them brawl. Nobody cares. (12; Vivian's Crush Girl gets 92; Luna's Psycho gets 89)

Steamboat and Michaels are successful against the pairing of Hiro Saito and Leon White. (62) Style and Substance come out after the fact and gloat about manipulating Steamboat into giving them BOTH a shot at the IC Title! Partners are only good when they're not dead weight~ (51)

We're getting a trio of singles matches tonight between FoF, FP, and Snuka/Jones. We kick off with Windham knocking off Meng. A win over a tag champ! (65) Velvet MacIntyre is talking about having her ticket punched to the Women's Title match, when she is interrupted by LEILANI KAI and JUDY MARTIN. They are the GLAMOUR GIRLS, and they're gonna see Velvet in the finals! (24; Leilani's Old School Heel gets 88; Judy's gets 96; Velvet and Judy have language barrier problems???)

Paul Jones emerges victorious over Curt Hennig. (64) Shiek, Koloff, and Humperdink all surround Tully...but here comes Rheingans to run 'em off! There's respect between him and Tully, but not anything more than that, and there's a staredown between the two. (74) Parkamania want that bounty on Death and Taxes! (63) Barbarian puts away Snuka. Whaddaya know, each team had one win and one loss! (65)

The Funks are bound and determined to take down Death and Taxes, but DiBiase and Williams remind them that they're not easy prey...and there's an extra team in the mix too! (66) Our main event is Flair and Bruno against the unhappy team of Hansen and Lawler. The heels are not remotely on the same page, but they have Ventura at ringside and the faces aren't particularly buddy-buddy either. Ventura winds up being the difference maker, distracting Bruno long enough for Lawler to get a big tag and finish the job. (80) After the match, Flair is confronted by Razor Ramon! Razor approaches...but here comes Jake! Jake rushes the ring, and....steps back with a chuckle. It was him all along! No contact is made, but it's looking like Jake and Razor are in Flair's head now. (67)

Wk. 3, 5/85

Pre-show: Faces of Fear d. Bundy/Taylor to retain (61)

Bruno calls out Hansen. He resents Hansen's help because he doesn't NEED help. Hansen is amused that Bruno thinks he was motivated by anything other than a desire to beat up Ventura. (85) PARKAMANIA take on Sheik and Koloff for the right to face DnT and the Funks for the bounty. Hogan gets a hard fought win! (65) And in fact, here come Death and Taxes to beat down PARKAMANIA! ...but the Funks come out for the save! (66)

Our second women's title qualifier features Vivian and Luna Vachon, as well as Judy Martin.
Luna has a bit of tunnel vision going for aunt Vivian, but Vivian is able to get the win nonetheless. (36- you'll notice I made no promises of success for this division! :P ) Vivian celebrates in the ring...out comes VAMPIRO! His whole getup freaks Vivian out a bit, and she flees before he reaches her. (23)

Style and Substance corner Michaels, but he's not scared of them! Steamboat's gonna beat 'em both. (57) Speaking of whom, Steamboat ekes out a defense over Tenryu. (70) Leon White thinks Tully is getting soft. Tully assures him that is not the case, and cautions the rookie not to push his luck. (61)

Sika and Ventura are going to be a dysfunctional team tonight, but at least they both wanna beat up Muraco! (74) They get their chance against Muraco and Blackwell. The heels are at a noticeable disadvantage, but they do have Lawler and Albano at ringside, and Lawler proves the deciding factor after tripping Blackwell. (79)

Jake and Razor are proud of their little scheme, but Flair comes out burning hot and ready to FIGHT. It takes a second to restore order and start the main event, (67) which sees Rheingans team up with Flair against the dastardly Jake and Razor. Unfortunately, the heels are able to outmaneuver them for the win. (81) Looks like we're in for more heel gloating...until Razor smacks Jake from behind with a chair! Razor's Edge on Jake! Razor drops a toothpick and leaves with a chuckle. (47)

Overall: 79 MIXED

I don't recall that ever being a thing for me. I was just mostly big on Legos, action figures/figurines (like the little Pokemon/Digimon figures), or trading cards.

I used to be there too but I just decided to cut out the comedies a few years ago. It took up too much of my day. I should probably sprinkle a few more in, though.

I don't think it even hit 30? But there are also like 13-14 or so paralogues.

Thursday Night Raw
Wk. 4, 5/85

Pre-show: Blackwell d. Afa (71)

Flair taunts Jake, wondering if he knew that Razor turn was coming? Jake isn't the only smart guy in town! (76) Jake faces Razor one on one, and gets the win after a bit. (79) Leon White tries to pick up JOYCE GRABLE but she isn't having it. (37; Joyce's Girl-Next-Door gets 73) Velvet MacIntyre and Vivian Vachon are on to the first ever Women's Title match, and prove they deserve it with a tag win over Madusa and Luna. (44)

Style and Substance corner Michaels and push him around a bit, but he's not backing down. Steamboat may have been coerced into defending the title against both of them, but he can BEAT both of them! They start to pick on him, but Steamboat makes the save. (58) Future Perfect and Snuka/Jones and Faces of Fear decide that they should have a three-way for the belts, after the inconclusive series of matches they've had. (64)

Muraco prevails over Sika. (74) Ventura runs in on them both! (66) Tom Zenk challenges Tony Atlas to a friendly arm wrestling match, and gets squashed. (25) The tenuous team of Rheingans and Tully comes up a bit short against Sheik and Koloff. (71) Tenryu tries to warn Lawler that Hansen isn't to be trifled with, but Lawler blows him off. (74)

Hogan has some trouble communicating to Parka that he is not booked for the main event :( (81) Said main event pits Hogan, Bruno, and the Funks up against Hansen, Lawler, and Death and Taxes in a mishmash of feuds. Funk gets the pin on DiBiase after quite a bit of wild brawling action. (83)

Wk. 4, 5/85

Pre-show: Style and Substance d. Atlas/Brisco (74; Martel's Ravisihing gimmick gets 100)

Sheik mocks Tully and Rheingans to start the show, but they're going to show him and each other quite a time at Triangle Trauma! (88) Hansen and Bruno are our opening bout, and Lawler is your referee! He gives them a very wide berth to pummel each other for him. He goes a little too far encouraging weapons use, though, and they start to turn on him. Bruno gets in a shouting match with Lawler, Hansen clocks Bruno with the Lariatooo~, and Lawler decides it's a good time for a tactical fast count. (74)

Luna Vachon is going to DESTROY her Aunt Vivian. (19) We have our final women's title qualifier, as Leilani Kai and Joyce Grable are joined by the sensual Debbie Combs. Unfortunately for the other two ladies, Leilani Kai has Judy Martin in her corner, and that winds up the difference maker. (51; Combs' Seductress gimmick gets 66) Judy Martin and Leilani Kai proclaim that they are the Glamour Girls, and they're going to dominate this division! Leilani's opponents Velvet MacIntyre and Vivian Vachon have other ideas. (35)

Future Perfect and Snuka+Jones are both thinking they can take the belts off the Faces of Fear. (59) Steamboat and Michaels defeat Hiro Saito and Leon White. (62) Steve Williams is hitting on a decidedly unreceptive Miss Elizabeth, so La Parka whacks him with a chair. (43) Tenryu wants to fight the Faces of Fear at some point. Meng is all about it. Or something, I booked this days ago and forgot what I was implying >_> (64; Meng's Bulldog gets a 92)

We get a humdinger of a preview match as DiBiase goes over Hogan and Terry Funk in triple threat action. (82) Death and Taxes try to follow with a beatdown on DiBiase's opponents, but Dory Funk and La Parka come out for the save...and a staredown (63) Title feuds combine in our main event: Flair/Muraco v. Jake/Sika v. Ventura/Ramon. Somewhere amidst the chaos, Muraco manages to put Sika away with the Rac Bottom for the win. (81) Flair graces us with some WOOs while detailing how he's gonna outwrestle Jake and Razor. (100)

Overall: 85 SUCCESS

WWF TRIANGLE TRAUMA
Wk. 4, 5/85

Pre-show: Reed d. Koloff, Bundy (64; Koloff's Wild Man gets 86)

NWA Title is up first. Sika makes a good account of himself, but ultimately falls to the Rac Bottom. Right after, Leon White comes out to ringside and slams Muraco! Ventura is able to parlay the momentum into a pinning combination to retain. (76) Jim Powers talks about...y'know I'm pretty sure I had an idea in mind at some point. (46)

It's time to crown the first ever WWF Women's Champion! Velvet MacIntyre, Vivian Vachon, Leilani Kai, and NOT Afa Reigns square off. Leilani eliminates Vivian fairly quickly, but in the end the day is won by Velvet MacIntyre! (57) Tony Atlas is getting kinda annoyed at his lack of direction. Maybe it's time for a change! (41)

PARKAMANIA and the Funks are both planning to collect on that $10k bounty! (68) Death and Taxes are able to use that and play both ends against the middle. The Funks eliminate PARKAMANIA eventually, but are too tired to stave off DnT. (77)

Bobby Heenan taunts Shawn Michaels to get his attention. He comes over...and Style and Substance pop up and shove him into a closet! They lock him in there! (57) He is thusly not available for backup in the IC Title match! With Heenan at ringside, Steamboat faces a pretty steep numbers game. He's able to pin Schultz off a rally, but doesn't have enough left in the tank to fend off Martel. Martel wins the IC Title for a second time! (77)

Blackwell and Tenryu have a pushup competition until Tenryu sucker punches him! (56) Rheingans/Tully/Sheik is next! Sheik is out first to a doubleteam, to Koloff's chagrin, and Tully eventually puts away Rheingans. (77) He's still the man, and he's gonna plow through everybody around him! (92)

Tag title time: Faces of Fear (c) v. Future Perfect v. Snuka/Jones. The champs are the first out, after a Superfly Splash, and then Jones eliminates Hennig! Snuka and Jones have finally won the tag titles! (71) Bruno faces Lawler and Hansen next in a battle of pride. Lawler pins Bruno with surprising ease, but in turn falls prey to the LARIATOOO~ (82) Lawler gets some steam back by putting the boots to Bruno, and Ventura even comes out to help! (72)

Finally, for the WWF Title, Flair defends against Jake and Razor. Jake has planted himself in the tweener side of town for this one, working face against Razor but heel against Flair. Perhaps if they'd stuck together, the challengers could've knocked off Flair, but without an element of teamwork, the champ is able to dispatch both in turn. (85) Flair is the smartest player in the game in addition to being the toughest! And the best looking and best partier too. WOOOOO (100)

Pre-show: Snuka/Jones d. Powers/Brisco to retain (73)

WOOOO! Flair is proud to still be your WWF Champion, but he's already looking ahead to the next challenge. JJ Dillon has allowed him and Ventura, as world champs, to pick the stips for their defenses at Heavy Metal Mayhem, as long as they fit the theme. Well, Flair is a sixty minute man....and his opponent will have to be, too, because that will be an IRONMAN MATCH! Starting tomorrow night, a gauntlet of candidates will face each other to prove who has the staying power to face him! (92)

Our opening bout is Tenryu vs. a very frustrated Bruno. Bruno is aggressive and wild, and the cool Tenryu is able to bait him into several mistakes...eventually scoring an upset win! (71) Velvet MacIntyre is very proud to be the first WWF Women's Champion! (49) After falling short in the title match, Vivian Vachon and Leilani Kai square off, with Kai going over. (43, great chemistry)

Sheik and Jake are backstage. Sheik wants Jake to join "the dark side," but Jake says his little plan with Razor was a one-time deal, and not one that even worked out well for him. Jake's a bit crafty, but he has morals....trust him. (74) PARKAMANIA are similarly NOT GONNA GIVE UP after losing. You pick yourself back up and keep going and that's the MEXICAN AND/OR AMERICAN WAY, HERMANO! (60)

Steamboat and Michaels face off with Style and Substance. Nothing much new here, but the heels go over after a bit of a Heenan assist. (48) Their post-match celebration is cut a bit short by a funky drum beat! ...His name is TONY ATLAS and he's here to SAY! Martel wins his matches in a dirty WAY! He needs to start over with a clean EASEL, clean up his act, and ditch the WEASEL! Nobody really knows what to do with this, least of all Martel. (63; Atlas' Rapper [Fun] gets 86)

Muraco and Blackwell face Leon White and Sika, who are apparently now teaming as the Super Albano Brothers. They haven't quite gotten all the bugs out of their teamwork, but neither have the faces. The faces have a lot more plot armor, though. (55; Muraco/Blackwell poor chem; White/Albano awful chem) Death and Taxes note that they are still here after Triangle Trauma, with the bounty unpaid! They're gonna up the ante- at (most likely the preshow of) Heavy Metal Mayhem, they'll have a GOLDEN BATTLE ROYAL, with a suitcase of gold going to the winner! (57)

Barbarian has a random but fun match with Tully. Blanchard gets the win, but the former tag champ makes a good account of himself. (78) Lawler gets in Hansen's face and warns him to stay out of his way and Ventura's. Hansen got lucky, but he should watch his back. He's not the champ anymore, and he's not gonna be the big guy here much longer, either. (86) Lawler then capitalizes his point with a big win over Brad Rheingans. (79) Ventura joins Lawler in the ring, to announce that he wants a CHAIN MATCH for his defense! He just doesn't know who's crazy enough to take him up on the offer, even for a title shot. It looks like the challenge is going to go unanswered...until TERRY FUNK comes out, with Dory backing him up! Both men seem to be looking forward to it. (67)

Overall: 81 SUCCESS

I don't usually wear hates and I wore a baseball cap. Also the shirt wasn't really my style, so extra not-me points right there.

So the one thing I didn't get about Coco was... when Miguel called Dante a good spirit guide did he essentially kill him? Because it seemed like Dante got trapped in the land of the muertos and can only return to the world of the living on Dia de las Muertos along with Pepita. Before that he was just an average stray Mexican hairless no? Miguel: mistaken murderer or heartless hatecrime?
