I'm not sure I agree with this. The show varies, but I'd still consider my least favourite episodes to be great television.

The only episode I actively disliked was the one where the soldiers had the implants that made the civilians look like monsters. It was so obvious and predictable the whole way through.

I love Black Mirror but The National Anthem was one of the worst episodes of anything that I've ever seen.

I probably wouldn't go this far but... it certainly wasn't good. Baffling that they chose to open the entire series with easily the worst episode yet.

Yeah Men Against Fire and The National Anthem (along with The Waldo Moment) were my least favorites.

I feel that The National Anthem and The Waldo Moment are probably better in light of recent events. That said still two of the weakest along with Men Against Fire.

I'll spoiler tag my problem with it

I like Black Mirror best when it's exploring the implications of a technology, and the most satisfying way to do that is if the technology is working as intended. Like in The Entire History of You, there was nothing inherently wrong with the technology. Human flaws were what caused the guy to obsess over it and destroy himself

The entire premise of Playtest, meanwhile, was basically a glitch. It was still a neat episode but I would've preferred it without the final twist. "We created a thing to make you scare yourself but oh jeez the human mind took it too far" vs "whoops it glitched lol oh well"

well his mom calls him saying specifically that they leaked a video of him masturbating to pictures of kids. They could potentially screencapture him, but the fact that they specifically mention a few times that it's a recording of him seems to imply that's not the case
