Recount in the VA House of Delegates has led to the Democrat winning by one vote. Still has to be certified by a three judge panel, but the result would mean that the VA House of Delegates is a 50-50 tie and a power sharing agreement would be made between the parties (whatever that means) as opposed to Republican control there.

It's a massively top heavy cut that will go mostly towards people who don't need it right now (corporations and super wealthy), its repeal of the individual mandate is going to increase health care premiums, its not deficit neutral from a party full of "deficit hawks", all middle class tax breaks are temporary, meaning tax increases by 2025 for everyone making $75k or less, certain people will see tax increases, and the bill is the most unpopular tax related legislative in the past 37 years (including proposed tax hikes).

But sure, yeah. "Spite."

Also quarterly GDP is massively different from yearly GDP. You could end up with each quarter being over 3% GDP while never hitting 3% GDP for the entire fiscal year.

Its also a really poor idea to cut supply side taxes when the stock market says the economy is doing well.

if you want to assert that the stock market isnt accurately reflecting main street and want to give the average american some tax relief to stimulate the economy you should do a demand side cut by cutting payroll taxes for a set period of time.

Or even broadly cutting taxes across the board in a more reasonable way a la Bush in 2001 and 2003 would have been better.
