The MSNBC segment, hosted by Ari Melber, pointed out the danger of the rhetoric used by host Jesse Watters and Kellyanne Conway on Fox. Watters said the investigation had been weaponized to destroy Trumps presidency, in an attempt to disenfranchise millions of American votes, speaking with a banner below him that read A coup in America?
The segment was roundly criticized, including by people like Ron Nehring, former national spokesman for Ted Cruz.
Use of the word "coup" by @FoxNews after Russia has deliberately worked to destabilize US democracy is extremely irresponsible and should be roundly condemned.

he's only using the word coup because some dummy used the word coup to refer to a different thing and he's saying "that's not the thing to be worried about, instead be worried about the potential that Trump obstructs justice or whatever" (I don't know, I only read long enough to see that he didn't literally mean a coup)

Good. Get rid of the entitlement programs.

I have actually considered this option (getting rid of medicare).

But concluded it was a pretty bad idea. Lots of 30-40 something adults will be willing to spend money to save their parents lives, which is good of them, but the effect would be bankrupting large parts of the middle class. (Specifically the ones who have a big heart and don't want their parents to die in suffering).

And then there's the question of what do you do if someone has a heart attack and shows up at a hospital. Do you treat them before seeing their insurance card? If you do, the government is going to end up paying for a whole lot of senior health care anyway through the bankruptcy system, and seniors who can't afford health care can just declare bankruptcy whenever they get a big hospital bill.
