It's one thing if we barely know each other, I can take that hint just fine. But we've been on a couple dates that went really well, and were planning to do something after Christmas. now she's just not responding at all or acknowledging me, other than rejecting a call a couple days ago with a "call me later" text message. I obliged a couple hours later in the evening, and it went to voicemail again

Since then it's been two days with absolutely no contact on either side, so I'm writing her off. Just fucking say you're really busy or not interested, don't lead me to believe you're actually still interested with a "can't talk right now, but later" move

Yeah, getting ghosted is the worst. I wasn't even dating this one girl (coworker), just being a friend, but then all of a sudden she just started completely ignoring me half the time, even at work. Got so tired of it that I cut her off.

Yeah, I really hate this generation's habit of thinking that if you just do nothing and ignore someone, it'll all just work itself out. That's how you breed stalkers. I don't get how it's so difficult to be upfront about not wanting to go out/communicate/etc. when everyone always harps on guys for not being upfront about whether they want a relationship or just sex.

I've been there man. I still am currently tbh.. Just do nothing for a while, see if she reaches out. If not down the line try again, but definitely give it a beat for the moment

Give it a week. No messages from her after that, move on.

That doesn't mean you have to stop dating other women while you wait.

Definitely not exclusive. It's not a huge deal, I've just had this happen before so I know what to watch for. A couple days isn't unexpected, just annoying if it plays out further and that's the case.

Lol, she's just someone I flirt with a lot (and her with me), but that I'm not interested in dating. I think she's already aware of my intentions, but I always reiterate them in cases like these to avoid someone getting hurt

I think there are legit reasons why women ghost (or just don't respond right away) because of all the things you just mentioned, but there's also the situations where you just don't want to create an uncomfortable scenario so you avoid it, even if it means doing the wrong thing by someone.

Regardless of gender, I think it's a little rude to establish a certain level of rapport with someone and create a reasonable expectation of conversation only to back out without a word when it's no longer convenient to you.

Of course you're not to know if a guy is about to fly off the wall like a psycho out of nowhere (and I know that happens), so I guess it's a catch 22, damned if you do and if you don't situation.

Just as an example I got this girl's number at the grocery store about 2 weeks ago. Had at least what I thought was a funny and interesting conversation and got her number and did what I basically always do (text them it was great to meet them within 1-4 hours or so, then text them the next day, being direct and trying to nail down a time and date to meet up). As soon as I mentioned meeting up, all of a sudden, no answer. Next day text, no answer, wait a week before sending one final hail mary and still no answer. Was really strange to me too because I felt like that was one of the best conversations I'd ever had with a random girl while getting her number.

But ultimately I don't even care anymore because in the meantime I've met a couple of other new girls in that time span that I've had a pretty good time with recently and will almost certainly get at least a number or two tonight when I go out tonight because I pretty much always do. I don't even think about that original girl any more lol.

Long story short the more you have in the pipeline, the less any one in particular affects you.
