You grab the eggs, milk, flour and everything else you need to start making waffles. You mix up a lot of batter while the waffle iron heats up. You then crank out waffle after waffle, stacking them on a platter. You also break out the butter and syrup and put them by the platter.

By the time you finish, you realize you might as well go shopping for milk, eggs and everything else you've used. You make a list of it all before putting the mixing bowl and utensils away in the sink.

"Waffles!" Beast Boy and Cyborg cheer as they enter.

"Eat up," you say, "there's plenty for everyone. At least I'm pretty sure there is."

You make sure to get two for yourself and a couple for Raven. Beast Boy and Cyborg pile on about half a dozen onto plates for themselves, drenched in syrup, before sitting at the table.

"Good morning," Raven says, already casually dressed.

"Good morning," you say as you put syrup on your waffles. "Butter, syrup, or both?"

"Just butter, please," she says.

You take the butter knife and spread the spread on each of her waffles. You then slide her the plate and she sits at the bar.

"Is orange juice alright?" you ask. "The milk is running low."

"Orange juice is fine," she says.

You pour her a glass and hand that to her, then pour a glass for yourself.

"We'll take care of groceries while we're out," you say to everyone.

"That's okay," Raven says. "I need to buy a new set of toiletries before we leave anyway. I'm a bit low on shampoo, and I'll need my own tube of toothpaste."

"I'm sure we can provide shampoo and soap at my family's home," you say.

"But I like the brands I use," she says.

"Fair enough."

You and Raven finish your breakfast and you put your plates away.

"See everyone in a bit," you say as you head for the door.

You and Raven take the lift to the garage, and hop on Shadowfax to head into town. You ride to the supermarket, and Raven leads you to the gift wrap section before heading off to find her toiletries.

The birthday themed items are the majority of the aisle, so you have a huge variety to choose from. You decide that for your father, you will go with the

You grab a roll of the wrap with silver background and black print of presents and the words "Happy Birthday". You also grab up one silver stick-on ribbon and one black one. You move down to the end and see the assortment of birthday cards.

You look up and down the shelves for a card that would best fit you and your father. There's a lot of colorful ones, but you figure you should match the motif of black and white. You look around but there aren't that many.

Then you spot one that's actually rather perfect.

You crack up with laughter, and pick up the card along with a complimentary envelope. You take those and head on towards eggs.

"Hey," Raven says as she meets you along the way. "What did you get?"

"Here," you say as you show her the card.

She reads it as you two walk, and then laughs, just as you did.

"I like that," she says. "And it's very true. You're very handsome and your sisters are pretty."

"Thank you," you say. "Did you get everything you need?"

"Yes, I have my shampoo and my toothpaste, and even my brand of soap so I have a fresh bar for the trip."

"Oh, so you use a bar of soap," you say.

"Yes," she says, "now you know that I use soap and not body wash."

"Do you... use anything with the soap?"

"No..." she says, smirking as she senses what you're searching for. "Just my hand... Can't believe you're asking such a naughty question."

"You didn't have to volunteer those details," you say. "I think you wanted to give a naughty answer."

You two chuckle and blush as you reach the eggs. Raven holds the gift wrap, ribbons and card while you pick out a couple cartons. You then lead the way to grab a shopping cart before continuing.

You push the cart with the eggs and toiletries riding inside but Raven holds on to the gift wrap items. You find the eggs and grab a carton, then grab a bag of flour and some baking powder, before going to the refrigerators for milk. You put a couple gallons in the cart and then head off to the registers.

The items are scanned, starting with the milk and ending with the gift wrap items. Things are loaded into the bags and you pay the $25 and change before taking all those bags out to Shadowfax.

You load all the items into the Magi-Pocket and ride back to Titans Tower. You arrive in the garage, unload all the groceries, and head back up the lift to Ops.

"We're back," Raven says as she brings the milk to the kitchen.

"Your stuff for your dad arrived while you were out," Beast Boy says as he holds up a couple boxes.

"Wonderful," you say as you put things on the counter. "We can wrap those up after lunch."

"Is it at least what you ordered?" Raven asks.

You inspect the several different small boxes. In three are the pairs of golf ball chiller stones, and then the other two are the iridescent glass set.

"Perfect, they're all here," you say. "We can pair the boxes for the iridescent glass sets as a cube, and then put the three boxes in a row to make a rectangle."

You set the boxes down that way on the counter, then go to the card. As expected, the inside says, "Happy Birthday from one of your attractive children."

You take out a pen to sign it, but think on how you should start it.

You'll put "Love, Rorek". No sense in holding back when it's for his birthday.

"Here you are, Raven," you say as you hand card and pen over.

She takes pen and card and sees where you've signed.

"Should I put 'and', or like, an ampersand?" she asks. "Or maybe just like a plus symbol?"

"I'm sure 'and' will be fine," you chuckle.

"I guess so," she says. "But I feel like ampersand makes it fancier."

"Are you able to write a proper ampersand?"

She hesitates.

"Okay fine, I'll put 'and'," she says.

She writes and signs her name, then puts the card away in the envelope.

"With that settled," you say as you turn the envelope over.

You write "Father" on the front, right in the center, then lick the seal to close it.

"Now let's move on to what we'll be having for lunch," you say.

"Already?" Raven asks. "We practically just had lunch."

"Then, we should start packing," you say. "I already know that for the time we're going to stay, you might as well pack just about everything we've bought you."

"Everything?" she asks as you lead the way out of the room. "I don't even have the pieces of luggage for that much."

"Which is why I'm going to convert part of your luggage into a Magi-Pocket."

She lets out an excited gasp.

"Like in your knapsack?" she asks.

"Yes, just like that. C'mon, I'll show you how."

You lead the way out of Ops and enter Raven's room. While she pulls out her luggage, you pull out your Enchantment supplies. Raven opens the luggage, and you thread space lace through the eye of a needle.

You go to the luggage and start sewing into the lining, all around the perimeter for the entire rectangle.

"The space lace is just the conduit," you explain. "To make this a Magi-Pocket that defies the physics of volume, we need to charge it with a bit of static friction, using steel wool that has been infused with the 'essence of the astral plane'."

You pull out the clump of steel wool and a flask full of red-orange fluid. You pop the cork on the flask and hold the steel wool to the neck. You tip it over to soak the wool in the liquid, then rub the damp steel wool on the space lace. The lace heats up, and you keep rubbing until the lace starts to glow. You pull away and let the lace do the rest. With a flash and a pulse, the luggage is charmed.

"Is... Is it done?" she asks.

"Yes," you say. "You can test it out."

Raven goes to her drawers and pulls out the several pairs of pants, as well as the various tops. She brings them over and puts them all in the luggage. Thanks to the new Magi-Pocket, what would've been too much for the luggage to hold fits in without signs of strain.

"Wow," she says. "I never really thought anything about it with your knapsack, but this is actually really impresive to see in action."

"Which is why I suggested you should bring everything," you say. "Because you can."

Raven excitedly smiles as she loads up the rest of her wardrobe, from socks to shoes to... She stops and looks over her shoulder at you with a shy but also dour look.

"You should probably go," she says.

"Oh, yes, of course," you say. "You go ahead and load your under garments while I..."

"Wrap Father's presents. No sense in having lunch before and possibly making a mess of it all."

"Alright," she says. "See you in a little bit."

You return to Ops and to the counter. You gather the gifts and start the wrapping of the trio of golf ball chillers. You arrange the rectangles to be perpendicular with a corner of the paper and tape down the outer flap. You make a cut and then fold out the matching flap. You end up with a bit of an envelope effect as you bring in the bigger flaps, and tape it all down. You flip it over and see perfectly smooth wrapping, which you then place the black ribbon sticker upon.

You go to the pair of iridescent glass sets and stack them for the cube. You shift things around as you bring triangular flaps up, as a perfect square is obviously different than a rectangle. Especially considering the difference of a rectangle inside a square and a square inside a rectangle. You eventually realize you have to cut into the paper to make the flaps work, and that works perfectly to cover the pseudo-cube.

You turn the wrapped gifts over and stick the silver bow on the smooth top. You put tape on the envelope of the birthday card, and stick that to the side of the glass set.

"What wonderful wrapping," Starfire says. "The lines are crisp and the overlapping has the appearance of being seamless."

"Thank you," you say. "It is an ingenious technique I learned in my travels."

"Oh, those look great," Raven says as she enters the room.

"Thank you," you say. "Is the Magi-Pocket holding?"

"Yes, it hasn't fallen apart or anything like that," she says.

"Very good," you say. "Let's move on to lunch."

"What about your laundry?" she asks.

"I'll do that later," you say. "For now, let's eat."

You go around the counter to the refrigerator. There aren't a lot of leftovers, but you had peanut butter and jelly the other day, so you think of what else you could have.

You had pizza too recently to just go and order more. You don't see much else to make something else, even after shopping.

"How about we go out to eat?" you ask the group. "I'll treat everyone."

"Can it be to an All-You-Can-Eat?" Cyborg asks.

"Sure," you say. "Just lead the way to one."

Everyone walks out of Ops and to the lift, to ride down to the garage. You and Raven hop back aboard Shadowfax while the others pile into the T-Car. Cyborg leads the way out and over the water to the main land. You follow to a restaurant on the corner of a rather open area, which includes a gas station across the street and a tiny strip mall just behind it.

"Streetwise Diner," you read as you drive up. "All You Can Eat for only $14.99. How many of us are going for that?"

"You know I am!" Cyborg and Beast Boy both say.

"I think I would like the All You Can Eat as well," Starfire says.

"Anyone else?"

"No thanks," Robin says. "I already have a usual for this place, and it's under $15."

"Same here," Raven says. "What about you?"
