Doorways that lead to the underworld, Mt. Olympus, Atlantis, etc. That may be hidded in areas we just can't feasibly explore?

Perhaps there's one deep underwater, or in the arctic, or in the Sahara.

Not literally, no. There are probably certain areas with strange phenomena that make people think they're supernatural though.

maybe. I want to believe they exist. when I was in Wales we did a train ride up and down the mountainside of Snowdonia. And the guide was saying that locals claim King Arthur is sleeping on the mountain somewhere and I wanted to get off the train and explore.

That's silly and unreasonable. Why would they be in only unreachable places? If they're so cut off, why do we have some knowledge of them?

If they did exist, they wouldn't be in places we couldn't reach. Ye Olde Gods were dicks, and they would make the door difficult, but not impossible, to reach. They would also most likely require the solving of moderately challenging puzzles, that for some reason require you to wear short shorts, and an aqua tank top.
