Star Ocean 2 and Final Fantasy Tactics are my highest ones.

I've gone through Star Ocean 2 probably around 25 times. I played it when I was around 7, and it was the only jrpg I had at the time so I just spammed it over and over. Still do a playthrough or two every year, usually challenge runs.

Final Fantasy Tactics I've done about 10 times. Just love that game.

Hmm, this is tough. I cant remember how many playthrough Ive done of FFXII, but Im pretty sure it exceeds the 13 times Ive beaten TLoU.

I guess that would be Resident Evil 4. Lost count how many times Ive completed it. And on several consoles.

Lately its been The Evil Within 2 (6 times, all modes including Classic + speed run).

Literally hundreds for Diablo II if you count all difficulties together. For Hell mode (the final and hardest difficulty) alone, dozens. Between 50 and 100 anyway. Although, that does include being "rushed" (basically when a higher level character completes all the quests for you to get you through the game quickly). A significant chunk were me questing through from start to finish though.

Like 3. How the hell can you guys play the same thing back to back to back? I don't care how much I like a game, it's gonna be at least a year before I have a real urge to replay it and even then there's a bunch of other stuff I could be playing.

A Link to the Past, play it once a year since it came out basically. Probably 25 times or so.

Diablo II is the crack cocaine of gaming. :(

I have no idea how many times I've cleared TGM trying to get GM but that'd be it.

TGM2 I've only GM'd once and TGM3 I'm nowhere close

If quick arcade-style games (where you can beat the game in like half an hour and the replayability comes from setting high scores and unlocking extra stuff) count for this, then I've done so many runs through Star Fox 64 and Triggerheart Exelica that I've lost count. Both of them have to be over 1000 at this point.

If those arcade-style games don't count, then I would say Pokemon Red/Blue is probably my highest. I've done at least 30 different playthroughs over the years, including solo runs, a nuzlocke, a couple speed runs, and some others. I don't replay games much these days, but Pokemon is one that I can always go back to.

Idk how many times ive beaten them, but here is a list of games I know ive beaten the most

Goldeneye 007 (If agent difficulty counts. God, I used to play through that game on agent difficulty almost daily when I was 10 or 11).

Spyro the Dragon (first game I ever 100%d. I pretty much have the whole game memorized now).

Pokmon Blue (I never beat the game straight up, but using the Missing0 infinite rare candy glitch, I used to beat the game every other Saturday or so in about an 8-hour playthrough).

Majoras Mask

Ocarina of Time

Star Fox 64 probably like 40 times

Though you can beat that in one sitting

Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World are probably north of twenty by now.

Contra most likely. Played the shit outta that game back in the day.

when a game takes less than an hour to play through from new file to credits, it's easy to pile up a lot of clears

Turtles in Time

So many times I would have to wait 30 minutes on something and run through it in 20-22 minutes to kill time in a fun way.

Probably Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Who knows how many full playthroughs I have. Played it to death back in '02 trying for times and scores.

If a game doesn't have a definitive completion endpoint, the playthroughs are inherently self-contained and defeat is the completion point.

So if you stack a line in the centre until you lose, you'd consider that completing the game?

Participation medals are nice I guess

Probably SMT: Nocturne. Did one for all of the endings and then just several runs after that for the True Demon ending (which was my favorite one).
