It makes no difference at the end of the day since every single relevant character has at one point or another blasted enemies at full force, it just seems that everyone is immune to death in this tournament for some reason.

One of my problems with Z and GT is they could never get over Goku and it got old/boring fast when you had a cast of a dozen known liked characters just waiting on one.

Why would they be massacres at all? You can still knock people out or just straight up dismember them. If super cared even a little about power consistency then the tournament would be reduced to a handful of fighter in the first few seconds.

Flying is banned because the fights are decided by knockout so it makes SOME sense, even thought the animators forget this rule all the time.

Yeah that was horseshit. It was just an excuse to say that all of their fighters came from earth. The galaxy is a big place, but maybe 28 civilizations would've been believable if it was just the galaxy. But the entire universe? There are millions, if not billions of galaxies, each with millions of stars and planets...but no, only 28 planets have life.

Also, I can never forget how there's supposed to FIVE supreme kais for the universe. I know Toriyama is infamous for forgetting details in his own writing but come on, it was such an important plot point in the buu saga, but now every universe only has one supreme kai.

If you're comparing the galaxies to our reality then there are an estimated over 200 billion stars in the milky way alone, each of which may or may not have orbiting planets, and there are over 200 billion galaxies.

DBZ Universe is not even close to our size. U7 is at the bottom of the universe list. It's a shithole universe due to Beerus and Kai being shit at their jobs. Freeza and the Saiyans killed a lot of people.
