Honestly I have to attribute this to incompetence and not malice. It was a televised event, how could they possibly expect any comment to get mysteriously disappeared from the transcript?

Now if this was a closed-doors meetings where Democrats said he said one thing and Republicans insisted he said another that would be different. But from all indications this administration is a clown fiesta and I'm willing to bet whoever typed up the initial transcript just forgot to include that line.

Apparently the Missouri GOP also kind of hate him because he basically ran on a platform that they were all corrupt idiots, which was making his platform difficult to get support for some reason even before this all broke. So there is a non-zero chance this guy doesn't make it through his term. He was supposed to be one of the "big" GOP up and comers too. Rhodes scholar, navy seal, Purple Heart recipient. He was also a democrat until 2015 for reasons I'm not entirely sure of. And, now quite possibly, a monster.

Also I haven't seen him accused of kidnapping anywhere, unless I missed part of the story. Another tidbit is it wasn't the woman herself who came forward, but the ex husband who apparently videotaped her allegations without her consent.

The details were provided to News 4 by the womans ex-husband, claiming the sexual relationship happened between his now ex-wife and Greitens in March 2015. News 4 is not naming the woman and she has not made an on-the-record comment about the story.

According to the ex-husband, the recording was made just days after Greitens and the womans first sexual encounter. And also that Greitens took a photograph during the encounter to use as blackmail according to the ex-husband.

During his campaign and while serving in his first year in office as Missouris Governor, Eric Greitens has billed himself a family man. During his campaign announcement, he stated: I'm Eric Greitens, I'm a Navy SEAL, native Missourian and most importantly, a proud husband and father."
