28 y/o Gaming Whacko, Matthew Nicholson from California SHOT his 68 y/o MOM in the Head because she had SNAPPED his XBOX Gaming Headset!!

It started when Matthew was in an intense online gaming match when his mother, Lydia went into the room and an argument ensued..She said he had been YELLING too loud and told him to keep it down but Matthew ignored her which prompted her to angrily grab his headset and snapped it...Matthew had reportedly been screaming his lungs out at other gamers during an online match he was in

He then grabbed a handgun and shot twice into the wall and then went to his mother and shot her. He then drove to a family member's home before being arrested during a traffic stop.

Matthew blamed his mother for getting him "riled up" and threatened to kill BOTH of his parents, Lydia and Loren

81 y/o Loren, his Dad wrestled the gun out of his hand as a family friend said the father was lucky to be alive because the gun had jammed..He called the police at 9:48pm when his son left the house and went to his sister's house

Lydia was rushed to the hospital but died from her injuries

How was it "easily available?" It was either:

A.) Purchased legally with a background check at a licensed dealer, and was given a 1-5 day wait period (depending on the state.)
B.) Purchased legally with a concealed weapons permit with a background check at a licensed dealer, and had no wait period.
C.) Was purchased illegally, which means there is no law that would have prevented him from having it.

The guy is a sick piece of shit, but I'm not sure what your angle is here on "easily available gun."

And no politician agrees with someone's views 100%, you pick the one who's most agreeable with you. Also I realize "strict" gun control is pretty much impossible in this country so it's not high on my priority list for a candidate's positions.
Same reason I didn't give a shit about Bernie Sanders advocating for free college (which I disagree with). It was never going to get passed by Congress, so his view on it wouldn't have really mattered.

Dude, lmao. Someone was firing a .50BMG at the range one day when I was a teenager. I was 6 lanes down, at an outdoor range, and everytime he pulled the trigger it was like getting SMACKED IN THE FACE. Like straight up pimp smacked every time he fired, just from the muzzle energy. There is nothing in this story that would confirm it is a mental illness either. Just because someone has anger issues, doesn't suddenly mean they have a diagnosable mental illness.
