Do you and your SO go to bed at the same time?

I've thought about this a lot, and I'm not sure what's more common.

I was just playing Overwatch with a friend who I've known for 21 years and he said he had to hop off because his wife wanted to go to bed. Now, I thought maybe he was playing in their bedroom or it's loud while he's playing but no, she's telling him she's going to bed so she is. I know that sounds like I'm making her out to be the bad guy and I'm not, she's one of the nicest people I've met. Just the she's going to bed and so does he thing bothers me.

I know it shouldn't but it does. My parents worked different shifts so they never asleep for long together, my wife an I don't always go to bed at the same time (she likes to go to bed early and wake up early, she doesn't care as long it's not like 2 am), most of our friends don't go to bed at the same time, just 2 couple friends do.

Is it weird they do, or he "has to"?

Never consistently. Usually when I first start co-habbing, we'll go to sleep around the same time but in general I tend to keep *much* later hours and sleep a lot less (3-5 hours weekdays, although I'll sometimes take naps earlier in the evening after I get home -- weekends I sleep in pretty hard, though).

My folks never kept went to bed at the same time so... idk, guess I learned it from them.

For as long as my wife was not sick and in a hospital bed (so about 13 years) we always slept together, although we didn't always go to bed at the same time.

It is a nice time to chat and relax with your partner though, we usually did go to bed at least 30 minutes before we really wanted to go to sleep. Most of those years we also had a TV in our bedroom, so we would watch the news etc while in bed together.

First bunch of years we also did a ton of other things in the bed lol.....that never stopped all together (till she got sick), but it wasn't a nightly thing after 5-10 years or so.

So yeah, there are many reasons to go to bed with your partner, especially if you both work and don't get to spend too much time together during the day.

90% of the time. As stated it gives you some quality time before you fall asleep, intimate time, and if one is not ready to actually sleep yet you can always entertain yourself with a book, tablet, phone etc.

99% of the time. If Im up playing vidya games or whatever shell fall asleep on the couch until Im done.

Sometimes its nice but sometimes I wish she would just go to bed so I wouldnt have to tiptoe around trying not to wake her if I want some drank or something

No. We'll usually fall asleep around the same time of we're in bed together. But I'll stay up and play a game. Or just go on the internet or something if I'm not tired...

We used to, but not anymore. The bed hurts my back so I usually sleep on the floor. She works graveyard shifts. There are a number of reasons.

My girlfriend and I don't live together but we stay over at each other's place most days. I always go to bed a few hours before she does. I wake up 3-5 hours before her, too.

We have very different schedules. I leave the flat at 6 am to get to work while he leaves at 9am as his work starts at 10am. So I sleep a lot earlier than he does. Even on weekends I tend to feel tired by 10pm and im in bed by 10:30pm.

Most of the time, we do.. but she's the responsible one out of the two of us (by a long shot lol), so she's asleep at a normal time; while I tend to stay up till midnight.
