I noticed the past 3 times that I got a cold, it was acompanied by a pain in my lower back that just wouldn't go away until my cold went away.

It gets so bad sometimes, when I'm at work and have to bend over, I immediately have to stand back up to relieve the pain. I don't get this when I don't have a cold. What the fuck? This hadn't ever happened before until my last 3 colds....

When it is cold, your nerve endings are extremely sensitive and the muscles surrounding your nerves tense up. When the barometric pressure drops, there is less atmospheric pressure to hold the tissues back and it causes more inflamed tissue to swell and thus, cold weather causes pain.

It's very common to experience back pain with a cold/flu.
