Playing through Fire Red. Just for fun.
I'm just doing the SS Anne and I've got: Charmeleon Pikachi Nidorino Pidgeotto I'm waiting to get Poliwag next, then I dunno what else to go for. I'm considering swapping Pidgeotto out for Farfetch'd. I've used Pidgeotto in every playthrough ever just because of Fly, but I fancy a change. And I've never liked Spearow/Fearow. Use Hitmonlee that you get from the fighting gym.

I will say that Bitterfree was pretty awesome early on, but then kinda sucked. I would suggest Alakazam(or Kadabra), but I can't remember if they're as good in Red. Hitmonlee could be cool... or Porygon, or Persian... I did have Fargecth'd as my flying type Pokmon in X(I think). Surprisingly, not bad... Abd it surprised my friend...
