If some of your saved ImgTC links (such as if you have one in your sig, or you have one bookmarked to use as a reaction image) are no longer loading, there's a way to fix them. You see, sometimes when you grab an image from ImgTC, the URL comes out in the format of i.imgtc.com/restoftheURL but sometimes it comes out as imgtc.com/i/restoftheURL instead. More importantly, every image uploaded on the site can be linked to in both formats. For example:




Before ImgTC's recent troubles, both of these image links would load the exact same way. Unfortunately, with the recent problems ImgTC has been having, it seems that all of the links that are that first format are dead. But it also seems that any links that are in that second format still work unless the image was deleted off the site for a separate reason unrelated to these problems. So if your broken ImgTC link is in the first format, just modify the URL to that second format and the image should hopefully load again.

Your trick does work, but GameFAQs's image embedding decides to automatically change it to the first format for whatever reason.

I really want to like Imgtc and make it my go-to image site, but it literally fucks up every week now.

Also, the homepage has images of gore and a dead bear for some reason. You can't even link to that from this site under the TOU right now.

Ah, that might explain it. I use ImageFAQs instead of the site's built-in stuff.

Agreed. I've completely reverted back to Imgur now, and I'm just using this "trick" to get my bookmarked ImgTC pics re-saved so I don't completely lose them.
