Nameless Blade: -1 Cooldown

(These will be getting weapon refines as well)

Binding Blade: Effective against dragons. +4 Def/Res during combat if foe initiates. It looks like Roy also gets a refine option to have QR into his weapon.

Regal Blade: +3 Attack/Speed if foe is at 100% hp. +3 to all stats if he is withing 2 spaces of an infantry magic ally(Hi Nino!)

Ephriam gets Flame Siegmud and Hector gets Berserk Armads as mentioned earlier.

I need to take a closer look at the characters they demoted but my initial reaction is it makes the summoning pool a lot worse. It's better for bad characters to be 5* where you never have to draw them.

All the demotes that I absorbed were 4*-5* from early in the game's life cycle. Getting a meh 4* is pretty common regardless and the odds of it shouldn't change much. Don't really care if the 3* pool is diluted.

Getting a terrible 5* that combo breaks you is soul crushing and will hardly ever happen now because almost all the duds are 3-4* rarity.

New Event: Grand Conquests!

Join one of three armies(Owned by the Askr trio), battle to control territory. It's divided into 30 areas(10 red/blue/green). Players will be randomly added to an army. Grand Conquest have their own stamina, 1 restored per hour, 8 max. Maps are similar to the Rival Domain maps.

You will be scored on your performance, if your score is high enough you will take control of the area. However, you must defend territory as well. If the enemy gets a higher score, you will not take over the territory. Score is calculated every 2 hours. Apparently there's a bonus to score in an area based on the number of allies fighting in it.

Rewards look typical, some orbs are in there. Reach a high enough tier and bonus points will be added to neighboring area after battling.

The diversification of the 3* and 4* pools is great if only because I'm sick and tired of pulling the same dudes every time. And now I actually have more options for merged Arena builds because I can get certain units more easily.

Yeah I know what he's saying I'm just saying I disagree with the general assessment because the ratio of stuff demoting that's good for SI is about on par with the current 3* pool for SI. Like you could say the reds that demote are bad at a 5:1 ratio, but I would argue that 1 in 5 current 3* reds are actually good SI units so it isn't hurting anything.

Then again my perspective is probably pretty skewed because there frankly isn't a single 3* character that I find worth spending feathers on for SI at this point. I've got plenty of Fury 3s and Repositions, and uhh... well I'm sure there are some other good 3* skills in there.

Sure. I'm just saying I would disagree those units were actually bad for it. They're bad units for SI that got demoted but really they're a net neutral to what the pool was, which is pretty much the story for all the pools-- you weren't using many 3*s for SI at this point in the game aside from a very small number, and that ratio is probably improving with the good demotions. If you're a new player, yeah maybe those "bad" ones demoting will matter a bit because you're gonna have a harder time getting repositions and stuff but eh.

By "bad" I meant those units had no real useful skills. Not bad as in makes the pool worse. I didn't cross check the list against the list of units in the 3* pool.

I'm not really sure if people will start running out of Reposition, Fury 3 and Desperation 3 with the new changes. I'm already in short supply of Reposition and Fury 3 even under the old system but that's just the luck of my draws. I don't really expect to draw on Colourless any time soon so I may also run out of QR some day as well.

Ugh Leif's voice. Not that I know him, but they couldn't have picked a better VA for someone that was maybe hyped? I was expecting the new healer to be all sorts of OP with built-in Dazzling/Wrathful and an AoE healing, but Restore+ is nice. They finally powercreeped a blade tome...

The TT changes are cool, but they still didn't address how much of a grind it is

About fucking time they did the demotion. We've all been affected by undesirable pity breakers enough times for this to be a major win

I didn't care for another game mode, but will feel compelled to play to get the rewards

Restore+ kind of scares me.

I mean, I rarely run into healers in the arena and they're typically easy enough to dispatch even with razzle dazzle.

But if Restore+ can be used on an ally at full health just to neutralize a negative status effect?

Um... Rein/Bowlyn could have just gotten a soft buff because Panic Ploy is the skill to render them impotent. Having that negated would be troublesome, especially with Chill Res.

Also, seeing the Thracia guys in their glory inspired me to look up fan patches for it. And...apparently there isn't one. Not a complete one, anyway. There's an old patch that (badly) translates the dialogue but doesn't translate the menu text, and two other patches that translate the menu text and nothing else. Shame.

her Japanese name is Nono and i followed the game before it released in English so it didn't ever occur to me to pronounce it any other way

They did though. They set the reward levels to what they are in Minis and reduced it from 14 days to 10.

edit: I mean, OK, it still is a grind, but much less than before.

On the other hand, Klein is more common; he's not known for QR but he does have the same access to it as Subaki.

I'm happy just to see the 3-4* pool diversified. Increased access to Klein/Abel/Oscar is great. Green does lose its density of good fodder though.
