Alright, I'll tolerate one to two minutes tops but leaving five minutes earlier is a dick move. Especially if the next one is an hour away.

One of the reasons I try to avoid public transport when possible.

Do bus systems have guidelines about this? I would think that they should be required to wait until the listed time

My city isn't big enough for people to take public transport unless they have no car. I've never been on a public bus.

I've used taxis and Lyft, and Lyft is wonderful

I don't know how it works in America but I assume it's similar - usually they have certain stops that they'll wait at for a few minutes if they're running ahead of schedule. Either stops that are busier or that aren't going to cause an issue if they hang out there for a while blocking traffic.

... what is the point of posts like this

like, for real

tc makes a topic complaining about public transit and then you make a reply that neither has anything to do with it nor does it make any kind of meaningful contribution to it

My local bus company advises people to be at the stop at least 10 minutes before it is scheduled to arrive.

The person saw a topic, thought of how it related to their life, and said something about it. Potentially, another person sees it and connects with it, and maybe even replies to it. Those who dont can ignore its existence, since its not harming anyone, and move on with their lives.

The point is that its an aspect of the conversation. No need to become defensive, my friend.

This one guy I sometimes get likes to go 10 minutes ahead of schedule so he can go into the 7/11 and jerk off. Been late for work so many times because of that asshat. I shouldnt have to get there early just in case hes working that night.

Have you tried contacting the administration about it?

it was completely nonsensical

tc is complaining about bus drivers who leave earlier than they should be

dude then replies by saying how he's never been on a bus before

-

"hey, who makes your favorite hamburger?"

"i love hot dogs!"

And that small, inconsequential things can anger people to the point of contention still does surprise me, but it probably shouldnt.

Just E-mail the people who run the Bus, if this is an issue that keeps happening over and over.

--

Also for the people debating about the person who spoke about Lyft. Complaining about his post is taking up way space not talking about the issue the TC is having.
