There was plenty of doubt. The problem lies in the mass numbers. While dealing with 1 or 2 cases is bad enough, having to deal with 30 different women claiming something really uses the numbers against him. He may be proven innocent for the first 29 cases, and then the last women having him found guilty.

I'm not saying he didn't do it. Clearly the evidence shows that he had ill intent. But its all about a numbers game unfortunately, and the numbers weren't in his favour. God forbid you get a crooked judge who can't see the colour Grey.

A mistrial doesn't get you out of jeopardy. Learn how the law works. You are tried until there is a unanimous verdict.

That doesn't not make it a farce.

The fact that at least one juror originally couldn't convict means there is reasonable doubt to his guilt. Just because there is a loophole to avoid double jeopardy doesn't make it rational.

Obviously 1 is too many. But you two don't seem to understand what I'm saying, so I'll try and spell it out a bit clearer. Bill is now 80 years old. These so called events happened over the course of....50 years? Why did it take them all this long to lay a rape charge on to him?

It wasn't until right after the 2nd woman came forward that all these unknown women came out of the woodwork and started claiming rape on Bill. I'm not saying that it didn't happen, or that Bill isn't a total scumbag. But its just interesting that so many claims have been put on him when he can't defend himself anymore.

I believe that Bill raped the first 2 women. Hell, he probably raped a dozen different women. But 30 of them? its a hard thing to grasp. And I honestly feel that at least a couple of them are just doing this trying to extort money out of him when he doesn't even know who he is anymore.

This is not at all irregular for rape cases. Tape isnt just something that happens to you, it has an element of fear and shame to it. All it takes is for one victim to stand up and it gives others the courage to do the same. Because they know they're not alone. They don't have to do this alone.

Cosby abused his fame and power throughout the 80's and 90's. He got so used to it that when he drugged some of those women, he probably didn't think he was doing something wrong. He got away with it for way too long.
