You have to understand, Bill Cosby was a MEGASTAR in the 80's and has been working in the show business from at least the 60's. And during those times, people were nowhere near as sympathetic to allegations of rape as they are now. So when you have that kind of power looming over other people's heads, it's perfectly believable to that if he were found to drug and assault one person, it wouldn't halt at just that girl. He'll constantly have women wanting to meet him just because of his fame, which means ample opportunities galore to do the deed. So when 50+ women come out way after his career spanning decades, where even one of his trusted cohorts came out to say he was tasked to paying out settlements under the table to women, this isn't as excessive as you think it may be.

I'm referring to a documentary called I AM EVIDENCE wherein it is revealed how there are rape kits that are used on the victims and then never tested to be used as evidence later. Check it out, or just read the synopsis on any number of sites.

The rape kit is used to gather any evidence it can, then that kit is supposed to be tested to see what evidence was recovered in the use of said kid. This step was being ignored and the untested rape kits were placed in storage where they were never looked at again. As a result there was no conclusive evidence that could be used to convict if an arrest was ever made.

In other words, rapists were getting away with rape and weren't being seriously sought after. One can speculate that those rapists continued to rape other victims because the police weren't doing their jobs.

All I was saying is that the evidence they had collected wasn't being tested, and subsequently, wasn't being used. So maybe that proves how little the police care about rape allegations. It seems logical that they'd just treat additional evidence in a similar manner.

I agree there should be more proof in some cases before a conviction is handed down.
