The first bits that cover the two movies have some pretty low budget animation. Its like they didnt want to have to redraw that shit. They get their heads out of their asses once you get past those arcs though.

I've seen the movies and every episode already, but going back to the beginning is kind of jarring.

The entire show is poorly drawn overall. Only a small handful of episodes that were consistently well drawn. Everything else is mostly off model garbage.

This explains the beginning of Super being badly animated. The middle portion of the series looks pretty good (especially the Goku Black arc) but the later part of Super gets pretty bad too. It's like you can pinpoint the exact moment when Toei decided to re-route 2/3's of Super's animation budget over to Hugtto Precure.
