Another nick on this season's editing - 9th place Michael will go down as the highest-placing person this season who had a confessional in every episode up through their boot. Everyone left + Chelsea has had at least one 0-confessional episode.

UNLESS you count the premier as a single episode, in which case Kellyn is back in the running.

Starting to rewatch Palau.

XD, Steph and Jonathan jump off SUPER early into the boat trip and get passed by the boat IMMEDIATELY.

Palau was an incredibly frustrating season to rewatch. I found the vast majority of the cast to be unlikable. It was a real struggle to get through the season and I just gave up after the final 3 immunity challenge.

I just went to go call Palau's cast boring but when I went to make the exceptions list, it actually came out longer than I expected - Steph, Ian, Tom, Angie, James, and Coby would be standouts by normal season standards, plus four more that stand out by Palau's standards - Janu, Bobby Jon, Katie and Wanda. The problem is that the other 10 players are so unbelievably Goddamn boring and forgettable that it really brings the season down.

It's amazing to me just HOW much Koror beasted the first challenge compared to Ulong. Like, Jesus Christ.

Vis, go ahead and read this once you've finished the episode... assuming you remember how the first half of the season plays out (kinda hard to forget).

I remember being so frustrated when Jolanda was voted out at the first tribal council because she was the only one on Ulong who had any decent leadership skills; I actually said to a friend "I hope that tribe loses every single challenge now."

So Ulong gets BTFO in episode one's immunity, but then Koror just fucking BLOWS it in the episode two reward challenge.

This challenge is hilarious for several reasons:

1. Bobby Jon is fucking crazy.

2. Ulong is dominating in a way that you would NEVER expect, knowing the outcome of the season.

3. Katie being SO utterly useless that she can't fucking complete the ROPE SWING portion of the challenge.

To each their own. I didn't like the cast for the most part and add in the lack of a tribe swap and you get a recipe for bad season for me. No swap meant we were left with a bunch of duds from Koror post merge.
