But my point was simply that there is concrete evidence of Russia attempting to influence the election. A lot of the more serious aspects are still being investigated. I'm not entirely convinced anything will come of it but is worth following. My ultimate point is that this is more than just a witch hunt, we know that Russia was trying to directly influence the election. So while the 2016 shitshow extravaganza is mostly America's fault, it's still worth investigating foreign involvement. AFAIK anybody can make an unverified Facebook "page" for free, and those (and Twitter accounts) were a big part of it too. That stuff gets shared and shared and shared and ends up having a huge reach.
