Bracelet means you can push overworld rocks on some screens. In the original they blocked the Take Any Road You Want caves. In randomizer those caves could be dungeons or shops or secrets instead, like any other cave.

Book usually adds a flame wherever your magic wands beam strikes, but this can often be detrimental so players usually skip it. There is a flag in the randomizer that can change its effect to an explosion instead of a flame (essentially giving infinite bombs) but I dont think that tournament used it.

Nah, kidding -- I have LoZ randomizers on the background a lot here and saw his name pop up in a match for the first time. I heard a commentator mention his name once awhile back too. I'm just going by what YouTube tells me is next for them.

It's actually really funny that you were like somehow calling this comeback before it happened, it was super unlikely and honestly only happened because ta straight up mismarked where the silver arrows were. He's otherwise about 15 minutes ahead of my pace or so. But it was funny for you to have confidence and I'm sitting here knowing what happened, haha.

It was one of the biggest upsets of the tournament but also probably my worst played match weirdly enough. ta just botched it, poor guy.

Also yeah the sword thing, I tried to pick it up because the number of hearts it requires is randomly between 10-14. I didn't have enough so it didn't work.

Also I WAS underseeded - like I was kind of annoyed about being called a cinderella when I made the elite 8 in the previous tournament as well and I was only seeded 41 because of a scheduling fluke in the qualifying rounds. When I was seeded by committee in the previous tournament I was seeded 18. Skybilz and I are about equal and we were the biggest threats to ta in that division (which he probably wins like 80% of the time). Going into my match with seawolf (he is a pretty good player don't get me wrong) I had a 9-1 record over him!

Just wanted to explain this. I was probably a little too salty about it in the interview but I think I was just kind of playing with a chip on my shoulder about being considered an underdog. The seeding process was just whack. Saver was a 29 seed, won the whole tournament, and not a single person was surprised.

I haven't been able to play a single zelda 1 randomizer in the last three months, I can't wait until a couple weeks from now when I can start playing them again

Haha, just had to had some fun with your interview -- I could see how both could be true.

I guess for even being among the best players out there, the win-percentages between the top players and next-to-top players still leads to one-on-one records that are that one-sided? I think I've seen CrystalSaver lose before, but -- while I've seen him as a top players -- I wouldn't have known he or even TA would be expected to beat top-twenty players so regularly.

It was fun to watch bud, probably the biggest comeback I've paid attention to. If you have any links to cruelly-difficult seeds for LoZ races (or something else noteworthy for LoZ), please let me know -- searching didn't help me much, but that had my interest recently.
