Comic Girls beated. Pretty cool stuff in general! Though I do wish it had been more consistent. The first four episodes or so were pretty much pure greatness. Kaos is amazing, the animation was top tier, and Ruki's episode was one of the best episodes I've seen in a slice of life show. Nyaos's introduction was the best, and she continued to be awesome throughout the rest of the show too, though she didn't get much of a spotlight. The rest of the show was still good, but it didn't reach the same heights as often, and the animation wasn't quite as mindblowing for the most part. Koyume didn't feel like a particularly interesting character most of the time, so episodes that focused on her weren't really highlights. Still, very good stuff. Always nice when an SoL show is a hit.

I don't know what Spirit Circle is. Biscuit Hammer....it was so long ago, I read a few volumes and was interested. Could tell you NOTHING about it, but seeing it's name is the only reason I added it to the list. Told you I was playing it loose!

I don't really keep up with what's upcoming, as I prefer to binge after it's all done. The rare occasion I do watch while airing, it's something I'm super hype for, like JoJo, or something that was recommend to me halfway through the season.

The only thing I know I want to watch is Overlord. We need more Lizard Sex.

Can't believe Overlord is just two weeks away. Of that list, the real hypes are Overlord, Chio, Banana, Happy Sugar, Tonegawa, and Tenrou.

Hey I am still caught up on 3 shows this season and in theory might finish the other 4 I'm "watching" eventually. I just haven't had much to say about them.

MHA Season 3 and S;G 0 continue to be greatest-of-all-time candidates, but the rest that I'm watching have been "pretty good" at best.

Ok I actually just now caught up on the most recent episode of Steins;Gate 0 and man this is the show that just keeps on giving.

One thing that strikes me here is that, even with other top tier shows, the show is laid out such that there's an emotional climax, but then like 2-3 episodes of downtime before there's another one. With Steins;Gate 0 for the past 5-6 weeks now they've somehow managed to make every episode a top tier episode that was just as compelling and hard-hitting as the previous week's. The original Steins;Gate was this way also and I'd totally forgotten about it by this point in time. Admittedly the show does feel like it's approaching some downtime after this week's episode, but either way even what we've gotten so far has been a much more gripping and intense series of episode than pretty much any other franchise is capable of producing. Steins;Gate well on its way to being the only franchise for which I've given multiple seasons a 10/10, though that is dependent on the back half of S;G 0 being as good or nearly as good as the front half. (or better than!? I can only hope.)

Sheesh, if I'd known Inuyashiki was by the same guy who made Gantz I never would have tried watching it. This author has some hilariously twisted ideas about human nature and both of these anime have been thoroughly unpleasant to watch (at least from the few episodes I made it into either one of them). I'll admit Inuyashiki was a slight step up, there was at least one major character who wasn't a horrible person, but it wasn't enough for me to get past three episodes. I can handle evil characters and horrific things, but there has to be more to a story than 'hey everything and everyone is terrible' and that was all Inuyashiki seemed to have.

Yeah I can see that being confusing (as best as I could tell, Inuyashiki was actually a lazy tale about good vs evil, so obviously good exists). I just can't stand how this author seems to view the morality of the average person. It's less obvious here than it was in Gantz (in Gantz you can tell who the hero is because he has the superhuman resolve to somehow resist the urge to rape someone) but in Inuyashiki, everyone except for the main character is apathetic to the point of it being horrific. And the only reason Inuyashiki isn't apathetic too is because he has literal superpowers, otherwise he would've just went about his day while a homeless man was being burned to death. The roving murder gangs (which are super common in this setting) start leading a guy off to get murdered and the onlookers seem more annoyed that they might have to call the police than horrified. There's a reason something like Batman has to be set in a fictional city on moral decline, real people don't act this way. I think it says something about the author that Inuyashiki pissed me off in exactly the same way Gantz did, even before I realized they were by the same person.

Inuyashiki actually has some really cool ideas about morality, but drops it in favor of more violence, which is a real shame. The author does play up human apathy, but I'm not sure if that's his true thoughts or if it's merely just a technique he uses to make the story flow better.

They have been building towards him trying to change his ways for a while now. I think the kids reacting negatively to Endeavor acting nice towards them a few chapters ago is a subtle nod towards the idea that he can't fix this right away or that easily, and that it's gonna take a lot of work to be accepted.

Oh hey I got the new butler outfit Ryu in DanMachi mobile. Also got 2 Hestia...every single time shes on a banner with somebody else I pull her instead of what I want. Kinda wanted the new Bell, but oh well. Got 14k+ currency saved up now for summer waifu banner. It just seems to rain currency in this game if you arent summoning on every banner. DB Legends added a bunch of Frieza saga characters so thats an easy pass for me.

I play these damn mobile games a lot when I cant play actual games or do anything else.

Oh hey, criticizing Inuyashiki entirely for episode 1. Nice. There's plenty more than that to it, and the series feels nothing like Gantz in general (though who knows what they did with the Gantz anime - it was a terrible adaptation that everyone hated, so maybe they went in some crazy direction). There are a bunch of good people in the show too. Eh, whatever.

I mean I'm FINE with acknowledgement of him trying to attempt something, which is all I got from her. It's just, no that shouldn't be what it takes to be forgiven and welcomed back. Which I don't think she was saying quite yet, which is good. Like I said before, they're treading a fine line in terms of a "redemption" with him and I hope he gets called out for it before any sort of that "redemption" really happens. But I'm gonna hope for the best that Horikoshi has the subtlety to write it in an effective way thag doesn't let Endeavor off any hooks.
