"Rorek~," she says.

"Yes?"

"N-No, I was just saying... I was just saying your name."

"Oh. ... Oh...!"

"Shh..." she says as she brings her other hand to your cheek. "Just look up at me."

"But, I want to look-"

"Just look at me," she says.

"Yes, ma'am."

You look up into her violet eyes as they sparkle dreamily in the light of your Arcana Stellae. You can still see her hand moving vigorously down below, but you stay locked onto Raven's face as it overflows with ecstasy.

She bites her lower lip again as she stares into your eyes. She smiles as she brushes her hand through your hair. A familiarly lewd noise starts coming from where her hand moves around, and you gulp again. The sound seems to be incentive for Raven to work harder, and she makes the sound come faster and louder.

Raven moves her hand from your head to lift her leg. She's really going to town now...

You look down for just a moment and see her fingers digging deep inside! The sloppy sounds and the slickness that shines in the light are so close to your face...!

"It's still growing, isn't it?" she asks.

"And there's so much," she says as she sees it on her chest. "Why did you do that?"

"You can wash off in the water," you say.

"That feels like polluting," she chuckles.

"I'll meet you back at the picnic blanket."

"Okay."

You swim out of the alcove, and make your way back to the other side of the waterfall's pool. Everything is where you left it, so you sit down on the picnic blanket, dripping wet. You make sure not to get too close to any of the clothes so as not to get them wet, too.

While you wait for Raven, you go to the picnic basket. The milk is still cool but the semifreddo is heading closer to room temperature. Well, you're not in a room, but the concept is the same.

You use a bit of Cold Magic to bring the slices of ice cream cake back down in temperature, then set them out on the picnic blanket. You use more Arcana Stellae to light the area around you, and with good timing. Raven walks out of the water, having washed herself clean. Her soaking wet body glistens and shines in the light as she walks over.

"I can't be sure which looks more delectable," you say, "you or the semifreddo."

"I already tasted you," she smirks as she crawls onto the picnic blanket. "So give me the lemon curd."

"Yes, dear," you say as you pick up a plate.

"We don't have to go back after we finish eating, do we?" she asks.

"Well, I did say I was going to find them all," you say.

"Yeah, but that doesn't really matter," she says. "The game was just a cover for us to sneak away."

"True."

"Oh do we now?"

"Yes," she says as she reclines back onto you. "You and your amazing body."

"Yes," Raven says with a giggle. "You're so fit and strong, not to mention handsome."

"Why thank you," you say as you sit up and wrap your arms around her.

She giggles more as she settles in.

"Careful now," you say. "It's supposed to be your turn."

"Well," you say, your heart racing. "I think that was on par with the one that shook the Tower."

"Alright," you say. "Let's get dressed and head back again."

You sit up, but Raven slouches against you.

"I don't want to go back," she says. "You made me feel too good. I want to stay snuggled up like this forever."

"That would be really, really nice," you say as you sit her side-saddle on your lap. "But we have to go."

She grumbles and pouts, but then gets up and goes to her clothes. You pick up your own clothes and the two of you redress.

"I'm really gonna need to meditate tonight," she smirks. "I am so tired..."

"Hopefully not too tired to get us back?"

"I guess I can fly us back," she says.

"Don't be so grumpy," you say. "You're getting the library day tomorrow, after all."

"I can't wait," she smiles.

Once both of you are fully clothed, you put away the blanket, plates and bottles in the basket. You carry that while Raven carries you. She flies you back to the mansion, and the two of you sneak in from the kitchen, the same way you snuck out.

"Alright, off to bed," you say. "That way we can get up bright and early to then spend that much more time in the library."

"Right!" Raven says. "Then I will see you for breakfast."

She gives you a quick kiss on the cheek, then floats her way out of the kitchen. You chuckle as you put away the plates and bottles.

"I can take care of those, Young Master," Carter says as he walks over.

"Thank you, Carter," you say.

You move aside for him to wash the dishes and forks.

"Hmm..." he says as he glances at you. "You and Ms. Raven had a bit of... fun, did you?"

"Carter, you know I'm not going to answer that," you say.

"Which just confirms that you did," he says.

You clear your throat from slight embarrassment after being read so easily.

"Good night, Carter," you say as you head for the exit.

"Good night, Young Master," he replies.

You make your way to the stairs and head up.

"You found us," Raydon says as he and Rondel wait at the top. "And look, you found our sisters."

You see that Renee and Roxanne are swinging from the ceiling like a pinata. Or perhaps a chandelier with how their brothers' mana sparkles in the light.

"I appreciate the assist," you say. "But I'll be withdrawing from the game. I need to sleep."

"Well zat's a shame," Raydon says. "I think ze girls had come up with some sort of special surprise if you found them."

"Which girls?"

"The other girls," Rondel says.

"I think they were all in the same general area," Raydon says. "Probably planning to jump you all at once."

"They were, were they? Oh well. Perhaps you two should go spring the trap while I get some sleep."

Raydon and Rondel are pleasantly surprised, and they go one way while you go the other. You return to your room, turn on the light, and you see Ruby, Rumiko, Rhea, Rhiannon, Regan and Rolanda waiting inside, dressed in their nightgowns and lingerie!

"Surprise~!!" they all shout together.

"Gawd blimey," you say as you cover your eyes. "Girls, no! Out!"

"Aww..." they all pout.

"Rory, we were waiting for hours," Regan says.

"Well, sorry about that," you say. "But seriously, leave my room, and put on clothing."

"Make us," Ruby says smugly.

"I won't have to," you say. "Raven will. I can just go get her and--"

"Okay, okay!" Regan says as she and a couple others hurry out of the room.

You sigh and open your eyes, but see Ruby stayed behind, so you cover your eyes again.

"Ruby, please," you say.

"No," she huffs.

"Ruby..."

"Ah know you don't really see it," she says, "but this ain't jus' some game fer some of us. You're not just a prize Ah'm aimin' ta win, Rory. Tho Ah am aimin' ta win. Ah really do like you. You're a good man, Rory. The fact ya didn't just settle into this tradition our families has proves that much. Raven's lucky ta have you."

You don't know how to respond. But seeing as you don't respond, Ruby gets up and walks out of the room. You wait a few more seconds, then look around. It's just you in your room now. You close the door, change, and go to bed.

You wake up the next morning and freshen up before breakfast. You meet Raven and the others in the dining hall and enjoy the wide variety of eggs, ranging from scrambled to sunny-side up to over-easy. Raven eats quite vigorously, and it surprises your sisters.

"Well," you say, a bit surprised yourself. "If anyone needs us, Raven and I will be in the library."

You finish your orange juice and wipe your mouth before leading Raven out, hand in hand. You two go down the hall and around towards the center.

"Wow," she says at the big double doors. "Beauty and the Beast much?"

"Oh ha ha," you say.

You push the doors open, and Raven's eyes light up at the sight of shelf after shelf and row after row of books. You barely say a thing before she zips past you and looks around at them all.

"The books are clearly organized by fiction and non-fiction," you say. "Then from there, genre and subjects are all organized by alphabetical order."

"I don't know where to start!" she says.

"That's fine. We have all day, after all."

Raven grabs up different books from just about every section, zipping around with her flight and carrying them with her magic. She sits down in one of the big arm chairs in the middle of the room, setting her stack of books on the nearby table.

You let her read "Alchemic Use of Herbs, A Brief Catalogue" by herself while you go searching for other books.

You walk the rows of bookshelves and find yourself in the family history section. You see the five volumes of the Rorek biographies. One day there will be a sixth, but that's only once Grandfather Sixth has passed away. You do a quick dusting of the covers, and then a quick flip through of the pages to make sure none are damaged.

Volume one for the original Rorek is of course the oldest, but in remarkably good shape. It is also one of the bigger volumes, as there was so much to be considered eventful in his life. Of course, this is all second hand, as Raven had the actual diary with Malchior sealed away in it. With that added, volume one would probably have been twice as big.

Volume two and three are about even, as Rorek II did as much battling as Rorek III did traveling. Volumes four and five are of course the thinner two, with them having lived much more peaceful lives. Though, now that you really think about, why is volume four as volume five? Rorek IV had almost nothing remarkable.

You flip through the book and skim the pages. The basics are there: born to the Null Family, founded the family business, married Merlin's three-great granddaughter. But then, there's all this fluff that isn't in any of the other volumes. It makes no sense.

Why is there so much about the company in his biography? Though, you didn't realize how involved Aine was in it. She's mentioned quite a bit at some points.

"I'll be right back, Raven," you say to her as she has her nose buried in the book. "I need to ask my grandparents something."

"Oh, okay," she says as she watches you exit. "See you in a bit."

You exit the library, Rorek IV's biography in hand, and make your way through the halls. Your figure your grandfather will be in the garage so you go their first.

Luckily, Grandfather Sixth is in the garage, and he's fine-tuning another car.

"You really do love being in here, don't you?" you say as you walk over.

"I think it's more, I've grown unaccustomed to being out there," he says as he looks over at you. "Machines are simpler, despite all their parts."

"That is true," you say.

"Machines aren't fickle, or jealous, or petty," he says as he cranks a spanner around a nut.

"Are you trying to tell me something, Sixth?"

He stops cranking, and sighs.

"You're a smart young man, Rory," he says, "so I hope you understand what your father is going through with the other heads of the families."

"I do, Grandfather, I do," you say. "But I want to know that he's on my side in all of this."

"Of course he's on your side," Grandfather says. "Why wouldn't he be on your side? You're his son!"

"Then why hasn't he stood up to the other families yet?" you say. "He is the head of our family, and our family stands atop the others."

"Don't go questioning your father, now," he says. "I just said you need to understand what your father is going through, the pressure he feels trying to keep the peace."

"It shouldn't be about keeping the peace," you say. "It should be about getting the other families to understand the position all of us are in. And if this 'tradition' is the only reason they're our friends, then it'll be fine if they want to cut ties with us."

"That's a bit harsh there, Rory," he says.

"Well, sometimes you have to be harsh," you say.

The two of you stand there quietly a moment as you cool down.

"What did you come in here with that for?" he asks you, nodding to the book.

"Oh, well, right," you say, remembering the reason yourself. "I meant to ask about Rorek IV. After all this time, I realized his book is the same size as Rorek V's, maybe even close to II's and III's. But IV barely did anything in his life worth that many pages, didn't he? Why is there all this filler?"

"What brought this on?" he asks.

"Well, it was... A week or so ago, that I had this strange dream. I was Rorek IV, sailing to somewhere in the Mediterranean. His wife, Aine, and his brothers, they were all with him. But that was never in the biography. There's a lot of mention of Aine in the book, but nothing about Greece or the Mediterranean."

"That does seem out of place," he says. "What else happened in the dream?"

"Well, that was it, really," you shrug. "It stopped before we, er, they, arrived at Cyprus."

"Cyprus?"

"Yes. And something about the Fortuns being there."

"Fortuns?" he says. "Who are they?"

"Well, that's just the thing," you say. "The record books don't say a thing about them, but there was this young woman I met. She claimed her family was once as strong as ours or any of the others, like the Dubois or the Danforths, but that it was our family, the Nulls, who ruined them."

"Rorek IV lived in the early 1800s," he says. "That was two centuries ago, I doubt her family was remembering that right."

"But why would she think that at all? Where would the Null and Fortun Families have even met? Something about what she said, the dream I had, and now how there's all this fluff and needless information in his biography that makes me think there's more to Fourth than our family is willing to share, even with its own."

"Then let's say you're right," he says as he walks over to you. "Our family has kept this secret for 200 years and now the only ones speaking of it are scattered remnants here and there. If we're keeping the secret, then that means you must, too. From your sisters, from your cousins, and from Raven."

You look at your grandfather curiously.

"Do you... Do you already know the truth?"

He simply stays quite as he wipes his hands of the motor oil.

You're not sure what to say while he starts putting his automotive tools away. You look down at the book as your grip tightens on it.
