Again, this goes back to what I said several posts ago; traditional fighting games are not the only types of 'fighting games'. I agree. Why does a fighting game have to have an HP bar you have to knock off to win? It's not like you can KO in Smash at less than 60-70% with consistency anyways. In fact the advantage over not having an HP bar is that characters who have weak finishers are punished in favor of being able to rack up damage, allowing for a wider variety of play style.
