it's certainly a valid decision

the only downside is that in some genres, some older people simply don't have the vision or twitch reflexes to get that same experience as the target audience

i don't think it's as much of an issue with the souls series, since most of the skill comes with memorization of tricks and tactics

I guess if you're trying to make a fine-tuned experience, something like stat changes isn't going to cut it. I bet some people would like a hard mode though.
