I do
It's a lot of fun and it's honestly sort of a personal time for me
I even like to cook for other people but I really need them to leave me alone while I cook lmao

Other meals can be take-out or frozen, but I always like to have at least one freshly prepared meal a day.

K.

you generally pair it with a sauce
which again i know can just be heated up, but that's not the end all

but it is considered a freshly made meal in my head
(spaghetti sauce has more nutritional value than ramen soup base)

I mean, it kind of is. It's a part of cooking. To make my homemade macaroni, I have to boil water for the noodles. So, it kind of is...

Anyway, I do when I have time. But I rarely have time these days. So, sometimes. But not everyday...

poached eggs alone are not a meal
also there's more to poaching eggs than simply boiling the egg

pls lets not get into this
making a ramen pack is not a freshly prepared meal it's literally dry packaged for longevity

Canned soup or frozen veggies does not

You can make your own meals out of these ingredients. Going by your logic meat would also have to be slaughtered the same exact day or else it isn't fresh.

"No frozen veggies" seems like an overly strict requirement for being able to call a meal homemade. Fresh vegetables go bad fast. It's simply practical much of the time. Like there's a huge difference in using frozen vegetables in a "homemade" meal, versus heating up a frozen dinner and calling that homemade.

Just to meet someone else's arbitrary standard of "homemade"? I'd rather keep doing what I'm doing, than worry too much about what some random person on the Internet thinks of my cooking.

There's a section in your fridge for veggies, it's pragmatic to use the space properly. From what I remember, Americans either have tiny overhead freezers or a fucking wardrobe fridge freezer?

Better? I can understand more convenient, although I don't agree, but veggies do take damage from freezing, it's objectively worse.

No. They are nutritionally better almost every time. This is just because most fresh produce has traveled a great deal and isn't as fresh as you may think.

https://www.livestrong.com/article/71064-fresh-versus-frozen-produce-which-healthier/

Cooking will destroy more nutrients than freezing. Use frozen and fresh, don't rely wholly on one or another. When you buy fresh make sure you're buying in season locally grown foods that will have a much shorter pick to sale timeframe.
