The whole interaction was silly It basically went "I don't believe MMORPGs can be made character compelling" "Hey I disagree, I believe they can be made character compelling and heres my ideas on how!" "DON'T TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB DUDE" Why make a broad general statement on a whole genre of gaming on twitter if you don't want any feedback? Obviously people who really care about the genre would feel a way and want to put in their two cents so that maybe the can see improvements in the games they play in the future. Especially when its a statement like that can be negative to a games quality.
