This is for a Modern deck, not Standard. They'd never bring back Lightning Bolt, it'd make red the dominant deck the whole time it'd be in standard.

It's called Free Win Skred. You try to lock the opponent out of playing Magic by using Blood Moon(most of the land base in Modern only use a few basics), Ensnaring Bridge(makes creature decks pretty much useless), and removal. Then wins by grinding the opponent out with burn spells and Planeswalkers.

Also, Snow-Covered Mountain can get pretty expensive, with $2.50 for a fine one, and $1.50 for damaged cards.
So I guess I want to know how budget you plan on making this.

I looked up the price of this deck and it's around 550-600. My fiance won't let me buy the whole thing outright(even though we can afford it... D:), so I'm prolly going to buy like a hundred dollars of cards at a time.

She is being played in modern a fair bit, so she might actually go up in price after rotation.

Nah, she is a fringe playable in Modern, maybe 2-3 years down the line she will go up but people always drastically overestimate cards when they rotate in Modern. I heard stuff years back like Domi Rade would be a 20-30 dollar card because of Modern etc... Modern has tons of cards to choose from and to be a high value card in modern requires play in multiple decks or being a defining piece of a deck with low supply.
