tbh I kind of hate who it's building up to be the main characters (I'm guessing Byakuya, Toko, and Kyoko?) because the side characters are so much more compelling)

The cast for DR1 in general is just not up to snuff other than, like....2 characters. I don't think they're all bad, it just gets so much better.

Byakuya is my least favorite character in the whole series.

A lot of other people rank him pretty high though.

He just encapsulates my least favorite character archetype in fiction to a T.
