If more baseball games were like that or even like most of them had half that amount of hits I'd watch more. But it seems every time I passively catch games in a bar nothing happens for hours at a time and I wonder how people can enjoy watching it. Like I don't mind people not scoring but I want to actually see hits and not just complete misses or tons of deflected balls (fouls I guess) where nothing actually happens.

i understand people who like action, but I just watched a 1-0 game last night between the Brewers and Dodgers and it was very entertaining. An out at the plate. A robbed home run catch. Good pitching duel.

I do know what you mean though. There are some pitchers that take a lot of time between pitches, and they are the ones that tend to get stuck in 8-10 pitch duels with every other batter they face. That gets real boring, real quick.

Fyi I'm boycotting next year going to games. I think something is rumbling where a lot of diehards like myself will be following. To fix the team the wilpons need to be ousted and hopefully a lack ofgate and being embarrassed by attendance helps put. MLB wont want that product out there. If they dont care about stealing money they will when they dont turn gate.

I'll still go to as many away games as I can though. Best way to support them w.o giving the owners a dime. I dont think I can stop watching the games which sucks since they own the TV station. But not going is a huge start.

Reyes back in there again. My god, I hate this team. I really do. It's August and the Mets are on pace for like 65 wins yet Jose Reyes and his .557 OPS need to be in lineup instead of Luis Guillorme or Jeff McNeil.

and don't tell me about Reyes hitting great in the last 10 games or whatever. I don't fucking care. Him getting playing time over younger players that have a future with the Mets is absolutely insane. It's stupid.

Didn't Ricco or Callaway or both recently tell us that the Mets were going to start taking a look at younger players for next season?

Well today they're getting a look at 37-year-old Jose Bautista, 35-year-old Jose Reyes and 31-year-old Austin Jackson.

And that is part of the bigger issue with the Mets right now. They continue to lie to their fan base on an almost daily basis. Whether it's through Ricco or Callaway, they continue to act like Mets fans are stupid and aren't going to realize they're lying. It's a disgrace.

I love the Mets, but I absolutely despise this organization right now. Stop lying to your fan base. Stop pretending like you're spending at a reasonable rate. Stop pretending like you're actually putting the best product on the field you can day in, day out.

This is all the Wilpons doing. They are the ones forcing Reyes and Bautista and such into the lineup. Because they believe it will sell more tix. They don't care one fucking ounce about the team. There is more proof every fucking day that Reyes starts. This is literally going to set the team back for fucking years.

Bautista should not be playing every day. Obviously Reyes shouldn't. There's so many posisbly future candidates we need to see if they are viable options next year and we won't know because they've had all their playing time stolen from them. Imagine having a GM/Owner who say "ok the seasons over but instead of playing young kids for the future we're still gonna field the oldest lineup you can find tonight full of players who shouldn't be relevant to the team next year"

I used to enjoy the Mets' failures in the past, but I think ever since Wright's been out, making fun of the Mets has lost its appeal. Wright was probably one of my favorite baseball players in my lifetime, and it's truly terrible what happened to him.

As for this season, I've pretty much stopped watching Mets games because they've gotten really dull. Even watching Degrom has become meaningless because the same thing is happening every game.
