We started with 100 characters nominated by CE, and we've now whittled it down to our final 2, Dante from Devil May Cry vs. Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2.
Dante is a newcomer to the competition, but was able to outlive past finalists Joel and Ezio and make it all the way to the finale. Pyramid Head was in last year's competition, but went out in 28th. A bit of a dark horse, he managed to do much better this year, making it all the way to the finals FINAL ROUND RULES: You can save 1 character, that's it. The round will last slightly over 24 hours, and the character with the most saves at the end wins. The round will end at EXACTLY 1:00 AM Central time, July 25th. Gotta admit, definitely did not expect Snake to go out last round. I felt like it could have gone either way between PH and Dante, but I thought Snake was a shoe-in to win the whole damn thing this time around.
